Chapter 8: Welcom Back

Skylar's POV:

"I'm sorry about my father Sky..." Kyle said as we walked back to Kaiden's pack

"It's alright, it's not your fault. My mother died saving me and it was my fault. My father died because my brother was angry. I understand why Blake is mad at me," I said and he shook his head.

"It's not your fault Sky, you don't deserve this at all. When I see my father I'll beat his ass up for hurting you," he tells me and I smile and stopped to give him a hug.

"Thank you Kyle, I'm happy you turned out like your mother and not like your father, you always were like another brother to me. And I couldn't bare to watch my brother lose a friend after he lost so many people in his life," I told him and we continue to walk.

We finally arrive and I stop at the ring door.

'Mate is mad, he thinks rogues took you or you ran away,' Bailee says

"Thank you for walking me back Kyle," I told him and he smiled

"Anytime kiddo," he replies

"I'm not a kid anymore! I'm 18," I said proudly

"Skylar?!" I hear my mates voice and he doesn't seem happy.

The door opens and reveals Kaiden.

"Where the fuck have you been?!" He yelled and pulled me into a hug. "I was worried something happened to you! And what's he doing here?"

"I walked to far and ended up at my old pack and Kyle found me and walked me back," I tell him

"Thank you Kyle," Kaiden says and lets me go to shake his hand

"Anytime, she's like a sister and I heard about my father I didn't want any of his rogues to go after her," he says and Kaiden nods. "I best be going, your brother wants me back to train some more,"

"Alright I'll see you soon, bye" I said waving my hand goodbye.

We walk inside and Kaiden pulls me back into a hug and sniffs my hair.

"You don't know how worried I was," he tells me and now I feel bad.

"I'm sorry..." I told him

"Never do that again, I thought you left me... or worse Blake found you and took you away from me," he says this time it sounds as if he's ready to cry

"I'm fine Kai, I'm not going anywhere. I'm so sorry I walked off like that it won't happen again. And sorry I blocked the mind link..." I said

"It's alright, I'm just happy your back," he says and finally pulls away, "I have some paper work that came in after you left. Do you want to come with me in my office or do you want to go to our room and watch tv?"

"I'll come with you I've been far enough from your for a while," I tell him and he nods.

We walk off to his office and I sit on the couch as he walks over to his desk.

We hear a knock and Kaiden tells them to come in

"Hey baby," this girl comes in with blond hair and she's really pretty.

"What do you want Bethany? I have work to do," he asks and I sit there confused and mad as hell that she called my mate 'baby'

'THAT FAKE BITCH I WANT TO CLAW HER EYES OUT!" Bailee yells

'Me too Bail me too,' I told her

"Baby, I came to have some fun. Don't you want me babe? And who's this bitch that is in here with my man?!" She yells

"That's your Luna! And don't call me baby! She," he points to me, "Is my mate and the person I love! Not you! Go find someone who wants you! And don't ever talk or call her that ever EVER again!" He roars and she whimpers

"Yes Alpha... sorry Luna..." she apologizes and walks away

"Don't you think that was a bit harsh?" I ask

"Why are you defending her?" He spat out

"I'm not, I don't like the way she acted but I mean you didn't have to be so mean back..." I said calmly

"I'm sorry love," he said softly "come here."

I go over and he pulls me into his lap

"You have to work Kai," I tell him

"I know but I can work and hold you at the same time," he said I sighed and nodded my head m

I yawned and rested my head on his chest and closed my eyes to take a nap.

Kaiden's POV:

I look down at her and see her sleeping peacefully against my chest and it makes me smile.

Earlier when she was missing it scared me so much that something bad happened to her.

There was a part of me that thought that she may have left me and ran away because I wasn't treating her the way she wanted but she seemed happy with me.

'She wouldn't leave us,' Xavier said (Kaiden's wolf)

'Who knows Xav,' I tell him

Flashback (earlier that day)

Once training was done I went back to the house to see if Sky walked back home. I asked around and no one saw her.

"Dakota have you seen Sky?" I mind linked him

"No alpha, is everything alright?" He replied almost immediately

"Sky went for a walk when I was training the others and she hasn't come back yet," I mind linked back

"I'll go search now," he replied cutting the mind link there

"Sky are you there?" I tried to mind link her but I got nothing back.

Where is she?!

A few hours later

It has been hours and she still isn't back! Did she leave me?! Am I not good enough for her? What if Blake found the right opportunity and took her away from me?!

'Calm down Kaiden we'll find her. She can feel your emotions remember? We marked her as ours,' Xavier says proudly

'I know I know I'm just worried,' I tell him

'I know I am too, I miss our mate.. sometimes when we're around her, her sent smells so good I just want to eat her if ya know what I mean' he said and I am disgusted to I cut him off. That's all he thinks about now a days.

Suddenly I feel her presence near and I hear her voice at the door talking to someone.

"SKYLAR?!" I yelled

Flashback ends

I'm happy she's alright and nothing happened to her. I'm never leaving her again on her own.  Unless she wants space from me.

"I love you my little mate," I kissed her head softly.

Maybe I'll do both books and continue this one in the future either during or after I write my new book which is called "The bad boy who saved me"
