(Carl POV)
We are all waiting around to hear the news from Hershel. Everyone seems worried about me, as they all keep glancing over at me. Beth tries striking up a conversation with me, but I just wasn't up for it. Then there's dad who's staring at me like a hawk, as if I'm about to pass out or something.
But I just want Ally back.
"She's awake." Hershel announces, hobbling into the room. And, as if insync, we all rise to our feet, staring at Hershel for more answers. "But weak, and needs her rest. I want only two people to see her for right now." Hershel speaks, looking at each of us as he explains. "Daryl and Carl."
Does everyone know about my crush on Ally, or is it just that obvious?!
But, I decide not to question it and nod along anyways. Then Daryl shakes his head. "She don't wanna to talk to me." He looks at me through the hairs hanging in front of his face. "You go."
I look at Daryl who nods, then at dad who nods as well. I rest my eyes on Hershel, waiting to see what he has to say. "Okay... Carl, go ahead. We can have Glenn go after you."
I nod before turning away and sprinting down the corridor to the cell. I hear laughing behind me, but I don't care because, yes, I am excited to see my best friend(and crush, everyone seems to have already figured out) again.
I immediately stop when I reach the entrance of the cell and decide to slowly walk in so I don't scare her. Ally is sitting up, leaning against her pillow, staring down at a book. She flips her hair out of her face before slowly raising her eyes from the book to me.
Her bright green eyes, full of life, stare up at me. Her face is pale and somehow she's gotten skinnier than she already was. A huge smile spreads across my face. She slowly moves her lips into a bright smile that makes my face go red in seconds.
"Hey, supergirl." I smirk.
And she doesn't even roll her eyes when I use that nickname. "Come here, cowboy."
I walk closer to her, taking big steps with long strides. Without me realizing it, she grabs my wrist, pulls me down closer to her and wraps her arms around me in a hug. It takes me a minute to comprehend what she's doing, but once I realize it, I quickly wrap my arms around her small body, squeezing her tight, never wanting to let go.
If I let go, I might lose her, and I can't lose her twice.

(Ally POV)When I first woke up, the first thing I saw was Rick. I then went into shock when I realized I couldn't move or talk and my whole body ached. I remember Beth and Maggie holding me down as Hershel explained to me what was happening. I was shot, I was in a coma, and that I have lived through it, and that I was going to be okay.
I then fell asleep again. But when I woke up the second time, I felt nothing... numb. Hershel said it was from the painkillers. "Ally... how do you feel?" He had asked.
"I can't feel anything..." I had responded. At first he thought I was paralyzed. But, once we found out I wasn't, he told me I was lucky. If the bullet was any lower, I would have never been able to walk again.
Then Hershel helped me sit up. "How long have I been in a coma? Who shot me? Who were those people? Is everyone okay? Please tell me everyone is okay..."
"Ally," Hershel stopped me. "Everyone is fine."
"Besides Axel." I responded. Hershel sighs and nods, gazing up at me.
"Besides Axel." He agrees.
"Who-?"
"Ally." Hershel cut me off again. "I'll explain everything later. Everyone is fine. You just need to get some rest."
