(Rick POV)

I sat on a log, and Noah sat on a rock across from me. We were just outside the campsite because I didn't want anyone to listen in on our conversation. I'm not going to lie, I was kind of angry. Ally is like the daughter I never had(ya know, besides Judy) and she was badly hurt. Plus, Noah, who supposedly was her friend, knew the people that hurt her, so of course I had to be suspicious of him.

But, then again, none of us really know about Ally's life after her sister died. She had never talked about what came after. So, maybe she did something she now regrets, and that's why they attacked her? Although I'd like to think I'm wrong about that one. But, I have no idea, so Noah is my only chance, only if he doesn't lie to me.

"Noah, I know you love Ally like a sister... So I'm gonna need you to be honest with me, okay?" I began, my hands folded together in front of me.

Noah sits up straight, his hands resting on his thighs. "Okay."

"I'm gonna ask you a variety of questions. And I need you to give me as much information as possible, can you do that?"

He nods, his eyes a bit watery. "Yeah, I can do that."

"Good... So, when did you first join this group?"

"After my family and I got split. It was just the four of them. I already knew Brad from high school, so I didn't question joining them. We were on the road for a long time, just trying to survive."

"When did Ally come in?"

Noah takes a deep breath, wiping the sweat off his forehead. "It was right after her sister died. She was alone in the woods, surrounded by walkers. Almost like... she was trying to die. But, we saved her, and she joined our group. Though, she was a little hesitant at first about it."

"How did the group split up?"

"A different group... The Governor's group attacked us. Killed Brad. Ally and I took a run for it, and I thought everyone else had died. Then, I was shot and the Governor tried taking us with him, but Ally shot him and we got away."

"That makes since. He had recognized Ally when he attacked us before..." I think aloud. I then take a deep breath, getting back on track. "So, you were shot?"

"Yeah, and I was bleeding out. I thought I was going to die. So, I told Ally to leave and go without me. When she left, I was taken by those people that took me to the hospital where I met Beth."

I nod, trying to process everything he's telling me and piece it all together. "Why do you think that group would want to hurt Ally?"

"I... I honestly don't know." Noah shrugged. "I didn't think they were that kind of people."

I sigh, nodding. "People change..."

He nods too, agreeing. "I know that now."

I rub my face with my dirty hands and run my fingers through my messy hair. "But just the tiniest details could really help."

Noah looks away, thinking hard. "Well... Abby didn't really like Ally. But not to the point where'd she'd hurt her."

"Abby? The only other girl in the group?" I ask, leaning forwards. Did I make a mistake when I let her go?

"Yeah."

"And you're saying Abby didn't like Ally?"

Noah nods slowly. "Yes, that's what I'm saying."

I bite my lip, wanting to scream. We let her go. Why did Ally want to let her go? If I would have known... "We let her go."

Noah stares at me, like I've said something beyond his comprehension. "You what?!"

"Ally... She wanted to let her go. So we did. Abby was the last one standing." I explain, squeezing my hands into fists.

"Why would she want to let her go?! After everything Abby did to her?!" Now Noah seemed to be getting angry.

I shake my head, looking away. "I don't know..."

Noah clenches his hands in fists too, letting out an angry breath. We sit in silence for a full minute, just letting ourselves comprehend, and be angry. "Can I ask you something else, Noah?"

He looks up at me and then away, nodding. "Why did you call Ally Rory when you saw her again?"

Noah takes a deep breath, unclenching his fists and rubbing his hands on his jeans. "When we first rescued her, she lied and told us her name was Rory... it's been weird calling her Ally now."

I nod, looking away again. Ally, she really was a smart girl. I can't lose her. We can't lose her. Carl can't lose her. Hell, he almost broke down just at the thought of her being hurt.

"Thank you... I'll stop pestering you now." I smile at Noah who smiles back and nods.
Just then we hear a harsh coughing noise, and then a scream. Noah and I both stand up, looking back at the campsite.

And I start running in that direction, Noah following close behind. Before I know it, everyone is crowding around Ally and I'm almost too scared to look.
