(Ally's POV)
Daryl didn't really say much about me going with to look for Noah's hometown, in search of his family. He told me to be careful, gave me a kiss and a hug, and that was it.
It was me and Glenn in the back, Rick and Michonne in front of us, and then Tyreese driving and Noah in the passenger seat. The rest of the group waited miles away, ready to come in and fight if needed. But, I think we're good. We're a strong group of people.
We parked a little way from Noah's neighborhood, just in case, hiding our car. Noah lead the way, and it hurt me to watch him limp on his leg like that... He had explained to me that after he was shot, not the governor, but a different group of people found him and healed him.
But, he had to repay them, so he had to stay there and work for them. Just like what had happened to Beth. Except Beth wasn't as lucky... But I shoo her away from my mind, not wanting to be sad in this moment. I have to be on top of my game for the group.
Especially for Noah. He has hope, hope that I think will soon be crushed. So, I have to be there for him. Not the other way around.
When we get to the gates, they're closed and there's no way through them. Glenn decides to climb them, gazing over the gates to the inside. And already I can tell it's not gonna be good. Noah stares up at him, waiting anxiously.
Glenn shakes his head, looking back at Noah. "No." Noah's voice cracks, hopping over the fence and we all chase after him. Once we're all on the other side, all I see is burnt down buildings and dead corpse scattered everywhere, and my heart breaks for Noah inside.
"No." Noah repeats, running with his limp, as fast as he could.
"Noah!" Rick warned, all of us running after him.
At a point Noah stops, putting his hands on his head and he can't believe what he's seeing. He's hurt, and he's in shock. He looks over at me, tears in his eyes. I shake my head, walking up to Noah. "I'm so sorry."
I wrap my arms around him and he sobs into my shoulder, sliding down to the floor, bringing me with him. The rest of the group looks around, disappointed. Noah covers his head with his arms, sitting almost on top of me. Tyreese comes up behind him, rubbing his shoulders. "It's okay, you'll be with us now."
I look up at Tyreese and give him a soft smile, that he returns, silently thanking him in my head. But, Noah continues to sob and you can't really blame him. Rick says we should at least scout out the place, so him, Michonne, and Glenn go in one direction, while we stayed put, Noah, Tyreese and I.
Soon, Tyreese had Noah on his feet, giving him courage. But then Noah spots his house and he begins running towards it, limping along the way. "Noah!" Both Tyreese and I chase after him.
And that's where everything went wrong. Well, first we found Noah's dead mom on the living room floor. But that's not the worst of it. We three explored the tiny house. Noah was showing me is room, pictures of his brothers and mother.
"You have a beautiful family." I smile, gazing down at the old picture.
He nodded, not having enough strength to speak. I put my hand on his shoulder and rubbed it lightly. "You should take the picture with you." I said, holding it out to him.
"What?" He asks in a weak voice.
"The picture. You should keep it. Take it with you everywhere. That way... "I slip the small picture into his coat pocket since he wouldn't take it from me. "They will always be with you." I smiled up at him.
He smiled back, wiping his tears, opening his mouth to say something but was interrupted... by a scream.
We ran into the room Tyreese was exploring and found him bleeding with a walker at his feet. "Tyreese?!" We ran up to him, worriedly.
He takes a deep shaky breath, holding his right arm in his left. "Is that... your blood?" I ask in a shaky voice.
He looks down and nods before falling back, the wall catching his fall. We walk close to him, crouching to our knees as he slowly slides down the wall. "I'm bit." He finally announces.
Noah and I exchange a worried glance. "You're not gonna die." I assure him. "We'll go get the others. Just stay here and keep pressure on that wound."
And both Noah and I ran out of that house as fast as we could. "RICK!" I screamed, gazing around the area. I didn't see them anywhere.
"Where the hell did they go?" Noah asked, breathing heavily from running.
"Come on." I grabbed his sleeve and pulled him with me as we ran down the street. "This way."
It took us some time, but eventually Noah spotted them. "Rick!" He yelled.
They all turned to look at us, confused and scared, seeing it was only us two. "Its Tyreese!" I explain just as we reach the group and are standing in front of them.
"What happened?!" Glenn asks, concern written all over her face.
"He's bit." I state, out of breath.
"What?!" Rick freaks.
"Come on!" Noah urges, beginning to run in the direction of his house.
After that, everything went by in a blur. Tyreese was bleeding out, and we couldn't carry him fast enough to the car. And that's where he died. Not even half way back, Tyreese Williams died in that car, and there was nothing any of us could do.
The nicest, kindest man I knew had died right before my eyes. And it was heartbreaking. Now we were left the worst of all questions.
How were we going to tell Sasha?
