Chapter 2

Sounds of the cricket around Karin's and Ryuuji's traditional house was like a failed song to her. Its almost three months she had been together with Ryuuji. They met almost everyday at the forest. Ryuuji told her that he was 24 years old but he looked like 17, Karin stated. They did nonsense and childish stuff, like joking, playing with the animals around, grabbing each others hair, fishing, and sometimes Ryuuji came over to Karin's house and spend the night together with stargazing and watching television until they sleep in each others hands.

Ryuuji and Karin also shared their secret to each other. Truth was, Karin scared about telling her bite marks but Ryuuji was really an understanding and kind person that he was fine about it. He said that it was her uniqueness and a sign of strong. Karin was super relieved with that.

The only thing she didn't tell him was about Uchiha Sasuke. Though Ryuuji never told her about any girls anyway.

Karin sat outside her house and watched the lake not far from her area. The moon reflected on the water like a mirror and it was so beautiful. It was a wonderful night.

It brought back memories. Karin remember how Ryuuji told her about his feeling and it still fresh in her mind.

Flashback

That day was the twentieth days after the time they first met. Ryuuji brought her to sat at the tree branch facing the sunset just like Karin's favourite.

Ryuuji was nervous of course but then he manage to tell her that he love her.

"Karin, you know what...I love you" Ryuuji told her calmly but his heart was racing.

Karin widened her eyes in disbelief and Ryuuji started to think that she was not returning his love.

"Ryuuji, are you...are you serious ? " Karin asked. She was surprised that someone like Ryuuji fall for her. Honestly, he was a lot handsomer and kind than Sasuke.

Ryuuji furrowed his eyebrows. " Of course Karin, i'm serious...I would never joke about this one " Ryuuji said almost desperate to show her that he was serious.

"Emm..." Karin looked away and pressed her lips together. "Well..I ..I " Karin stuttered. 'Really? Even Sasuke never loved me ..'

"What ..? " Ryuuji asked. "Alright, I know Karin ..you didn't have the feeling like I d- " Ryuuji stopped.

" Wha- Wait ..emm no Ryuuji " Karin almost yelled. She made up her mind this time. She let out a small sigh." This is so soon but, I do realize that.. when I'm on my own, you're the only one that came to my mind .. and I need you by my side, like now .. I think " She stared at him deeply. " I think I, love you too..Ryuuji" Karin said softly and looking down so that Ryuuji did not saw her blushing. 'Am I crazy, Kami-sama ? '

Silence.

" You what , Karin ?" Ryuuji teased and touch her cheek.

"Tch..don't touch me " Karin snapped. She slap his hand and looked away . Embarrassed.

" Karin.. " Ryuuji said .

'Stop that voice , oh just let me melt and ran away yelling his name.. huaa' Karin slowly met his melting gaze. " What ?" She said as if his voice did not affected her.

" Will you.. marry me ?" He asked holding her hands together tightly.

Karin was speechless.' Let me jump from the mountain ' . " R- Ryuuji " She said with teary eyes. She was happy. " Yes! I will ! " Karin cannot take it anymore. She jumped to him and gave him a tight hug.
