Chapter 22

"Karin! Karin!" Sasuke shook her gently in order to wake her up but failed. Anyone would say she's dead if not the chest was rising up and down.

Naruto's clone was looking worried too. "Imouto-chan..." He said to the unconscious redhead."The thing we afraid the most are actually happening now." He said as he close his eyes.

Sasuke looking at her sharply and with his eyes, he went through deep into her mind. "Is she really trapped in her dream?"

'What is happening to you?'

He saw nothing inside her mind. It was all blank. "Nani?" He said in his frustrated low voice.

He stared at her pale face. "Nothing...I got nothing Naruto."

'I feel like an idiot who just can stare at her.' Sasuke thought.

Suddenly he and Naruto felt something approaching, no its actually someone.

A flash of small shining things come towards them.

"Watch out!" Sasuke warned.

Both of them almost get struck by kunais but fast enough to dodge it.

Sasuke manage to take Karin with him and wrapped his hand around her protectively.

"Who are you?" Naruto asked. He was on the tree branch.

A black figure was approaching in front of them. A man was wearing hakama and had katana on his back. His jaw was clear as he clenched his teeth in anger.

Sasuke and Naruto had the same person popped up in their mind right now.

"I'm the one who should ask you?" He said with his deep voice. "Why is my wife with you? What have you done to her?!" He almost shouted and ready to fight them.

Sasuke's eyes widened a bit. 'Ryuuji'

"Wait!" Naruto jumped and stood in front of him. Blocking his way to Sasuke and Karin.

He stopped and looked at Naruto menacingly. "What did you do to her?" It was obvious that he tried to keep his voice in control.

"I know who you are. You are Ryuuji, Karin's husband." Naruto said immediately.

He looked a little bit surprised. He seemed to be waiting Naruto to speak again.

"I'm Naruto Uzumaki. Which you can say i'm Karin's cousin." He almost say that in a funny way but thankfully no. He looked behind to mention Sasuke.

"Uchiha Sasuke. Karin's ex teammate." He said shortly.

Ryuuji seemed to soften but never let his guard down. "What happened to my wife?" 'How's my baby?'

'Why am I feeling that he has the same coldness and straight face like Sasuke?' Naruto thought but then he shrugged it off.

"First of all, we meant no harm." The blonde started. "This way we can talk in peace."

Ryuuji closed his eyes as soon as Sasuke explain it all from the start where he met Karin. His heart ache so much when Sasuke told that Karin worried about him and doesn't want him to leave her behind.

"I know, i'm sorry that we couldn't manage to get there in time too. Karin wouldn't be like this if we're fast enough." Sasuke sincerely apologize.

"No." He said coldly. "Its not your fault." How much he wanted to cry so loud to Kami-sama to say that this is not happening. That this was all just a bad dream.
