Chapter 8

Karin's eyes widened.

Sasuke sat and wrapped his hands around her just under her heaving breast and belly. His leg was around her.

"I'm staying here with you..I didn't bring my cloak so I hope I can make you warm a bit.." Sasuke said flatly.

Karin could felt his breath on her cheek. 'Just like Ryuuji did' Karin thought. "H-hai..I- I'm feeling a bit better like this, arigatou.."

Its awkward but both of them understood. Karin hummed and laid her head on his left shoulder since her waist hurt while her hands holding her tummy.

Karin met Sasuke's gaze. She giggled and made Sasuke chuckled too. They didn't know where that came from because it came naturally.

They turned back at the lake and then watched the sky. Even how close they were, the love from the past already fade away and will not come back. It'll remain history and that's for Karin.

For Sasuke, he would do anything for Karin as long as he had a chance because he knew this was only temporary. He had keep repeating the word 'only temporary' in his head. He would never experience this with Karin after she met her husband soon.

'Loving a person who did not return your feeling was pretty tiring right, Karin? I do know that now.. Let it be a little dirty secret that I - I love you Karin..anyway there's no 'i love you too' now. Its too late but it for the best..you deserve better. I really wanted to see this Ryuuji guy too in person.' Sasuke thought and tighten his hold on Karin. 'Its easier to notice this feeling when my heart didn't filled with hatred. I love Sakura because she's been with me from childhood but I think its bigger for you even if we just been together for a short time. But don't worry Karin, I'm not stealing you back. I'm just taking the chance...'

He heard a small snore from Karin and saw her fall asleep on his shoulder. 'Kami-sama ..she's a precious woman. Ryuuji was a lucky bastard. ' Sasuke smirked then slowly carried Karin bridal-style.

Sasuke walked passed the girl at the counter and to the their room. The girl amused seeing them again.

Sasuke didn't bother opening the door. He shunshined inside and placed Karin on the bed gently. He caressed her hair away from her face and took off her boots.
