Wohoo, really proud of this chapter (:
I'm aware of the fact that this is really big to be a village, but screw it.
I'm happy anyone is reading this. And surprised. Thanks.
------------------------
When the team had gotten off the train in the quite big village called Charcoal and Natsu was feeling good enough to walk again they tried to localize the Bed & Breakfast where they were going to stay the night. It was already past five and they all wanted to explore the village a little, so they had decided on doing the mission they had come to do the day after.
They walked around for about fifteen minutes before Erza just stopped.
"What the hell are you doing?" Natsu shouted. "Are we lost or something?"
"No," Erza said calmly, "We just walked the wrong way. Let's go back to the station and start over."
She turned around and started walking back again. The others followed. Gray looked around in the town once again when they walked the exact same way back again.
There was a club called "Wonderstruck", and that's the grocery store he had seen earlier. On the left was a small but charmy shopping center which Lucy surely would be going to later.
There wasn't a whole lot of people out, the street was almost empty. Gray thought this was strange, but he didn't put that much thought into it.
When they walked around a corner they saw the reason for the empty streets. The whole village (which was quite a lot of people for a village, even though it was a big one) had gathered around someone that looked like a mayor or leader. There was a big flag up in the air with a fire symbol on it. It looked like a guild mark.
"Is this entire village a guild?" Natsu asked curiously. "If it is, why haven't they taken care of the monster themselves? Do they all use fire magic and that's the reason for the symbol?"
"Maybe the guy who saw the monster has big ass trust issues. Or he doesn't like the people here." Lucy said.
"I think the master is 'the guy'. He looks like the person on the picture. There must be some reason fire can't kill it." Gray said.
Natsu looked disappointed.
"I think so too," Erza said. "Oh there it is! Maybe we can ask someone in there about it."
When they walked into the Bed & Breakfast that was called "The Fireplace" the reception was unmanned.
Erza walked to the desk and rang a bell. After a few seconds a beautiful woman with long, green hair who looked to be around 25 came out from a room behind it.
"Hi! I'm Christina, but most people call me Chris. That is actually kinda odd, but I don't mind. You must be the mages from Fairy Tail? This is Challour village and guild. Everyone have been waiting for you. Let me show you to your rooms."
"I'm pretty sure we only booked one room". Erza said a bit confused "We have a tight budget."
"As I said, we've been waiting for you. You can have two rooms but you don't need to pay for more than one. We don't have that many guests at the moment anyway."
"Okay. If you say so. We'd gladly have two rooms"
Christina - Chris - smiled.
"Your rooms are this way. Follow me"
They got to the rooms. It was room 13 and 14, conveniently right across the corridor.
"Here are your rooms. Room 14 actually have two really large beds in it.
