Days And Nights (Gratsu Story)

5. Mission

HOLY CRAP THIS GOT LONGER THAN EXPECTED but it's full of crazy people and I guess feels at the end so just yea.

It was now tuesday morning. Gray was asleep. It hadn't been easy falling asleep the day before, after that. He didn't know what to do. What to say. How he was supposed to ignore it.

The day before, Natsu had been in his arms. He wasn't sure for how long, but a second would have been enough.

How can love develop this fast? Only five days ago, Gray didn't feel this way. Five days ago, Natsu was just a friend. Of course he had always been special and Gray had always cared very much for the boy. But love...

"Gray! It's time for breakfast!" Lucy sounded excited, almost a little flirty.

Gray yawned and sat up in his bed.

"Okay. You can go, I'll be done in a minute." He yawned again and looked tired at Lucy who smiled back before she walked out of the room.

He put on some clothes- a dark blue T-shirt, some black, not too tight pants and quite a nice jacket.

He posed in a mirror.

"Damn Gray, you look good today. I would fall for a guy looking like this in a second"

He sighed.

He hoped Natsu would too.

Natsu had been thinking a lot about the fact that Gray actually was nice to him yesterday. Twice.

He had been awake for a long time. He couldn't sleep. He woke up at five, and when he realised there was no point in trying to sleep more, he read.

When it was time for breakfast, he put away his book and went to get his clothes that he had hung on a chair.

Erza had already left.

When he was done fixing his hair to look like it wasn't fixed, he started to go towards the door. Then something came to him.

"Gray's going to be there"

He prepared himself for the upcoming awkwardness.

When he walked out the door he could see the handle on room 13's door slowly being pushed down. He heard a yawn.

Gray

Natsu could feel his heart beating faster.

"Good morning Natsu."

"Hi."

"Did you sleep well?"

No

"Yes, our beds are so comfortable," he answered smiling. "How about you?"

"Alright, I guess. Let's go get breakfast though, I'm starving."

They walked there side by side and they actually talked like normal people. About the Weather, about the Village, about Erza and Lucy.

No one mentioned the day before.

The breakfast was nothing special, there was bread, and stuff to put on it, there was some types of cereal and milk, juice, tea and coffee.

Natsu made himself a sandwich with 20 bread slices (cheese between them) and took a glass of milk. He sat down at the table where Lucy and Erza sat.

Gray came after with his less impressive sandwich and his coffee.

Lucy and Erza were discussing, or more like arguing, what apple juice or orange juice was the best.

"But clearly orange juice is better, because it's orange. And it's so good to everything." Erza said.
