Note: This fanfiction does not follow the timeline of the TFIL videos or the videos from the channels from the mentioned YouTubers. In this fanfiction, they already live in that big mansion as roommates.

Francine
I said it.
I can't believe I told someone.
I can't believe I told Colby Brock my story... Well, part of it.
Years after I thought I had perfected my cover, Colby came and saw right through me. It made me wonder what I did wrong. Because if someone saw the real broken girl underneath the fake perfection, others might see it as well.
Since I discovered Elton's TFIL channel, I started watching every single video in that channel until I ended up watching the individual vlogging channels that each one of them had. I even created separate accounts on different social media platforms in order to follow them through their lives. Call me stalker or whatever, but their social media is where they update their fans on their life behind their cameras even if they were just snippets of it. I just wanted to feel a little closer to them without using my verified accounts that used my name. Those accounts were controlled and monitored by my parents. Watching their videos stopped me from ending everything for several times. They just gave me hope that one day, I'll be free from this cage that my parents locked me in... As long as I take the chance and do what scares me at the right moment.
I saw Colby as my chance... And I sent him my story despite it being beyond the norm.
"That night you saw me in the mall," I paused and looked away from him before I could even see a small reaction from him. I knew I was telling a person who's practically a stranger to me about my life, but I couldn't stop. I wouldn't. Once the gate opened, the only way to close it is to empty it out. "I was not limping from a simple sprain..." I took a deep breath and readied myself for whatever he thinks of me after all this. "I had a broken ankle. My dad stepped on it hard until we all heard a loud crack... But they didn't stop there. That night, I had a broken ankle, broken wrists, broken elbow, and broken ribs. I was practically wrapped in bandage underneath the explore hoodie."
A deafening silence fell upon us and it got me scared. Was this it? Will he run away? Probably. I was broken, and nobody wants that kind of girl.
"I understand if you want to leave... But I do hope that you keep this between us." I was keeping my sobs at bay but my tears were continuously flowing down my cheeks. I didn't bother wiping it off and make a mess of my already ruined makeup.
"France..." I took a deep breath as his soft voice called out to me. A shiver went down my spine at his tone for he sounded like he was about to cry. "Why?" I expected him to tell me that he was not going to hang out with me anymore but I did not expect him to ask me a question in such a heart breaking tone. "Why did you keep all of this to yourself?"
He gently placed his cold hands under my chin and lifted it up to look into my eyes. "France, you can't continue living like this. Sooner or later, they are going to break you to a point that you can't be fixed and I... it hurts to see someone I care about getting hurt." My heart started thumping against my chest at his words... maybe it was also because our faces were merely inches away from each other.
But either way, both did something in my heart. Not in a negative way. For the second time, someone cared for me. For the second time, someone did not want to see me hurt. For the second time, someone wanted to see the Francine who was forced to hide underneath a perfect facade.
And for the first time, my heart craved for something I never expected. It wanted his presence.
"You need to leave them for good, France." He said before hesitantly pulling away. It was that cliche moment where I instantly felt cold when he moved and created a space between us.
I shook the feeling away and chuckled sadly. "They'll never let me go, Colby. If I run, they will find me using any means possible without alerting anyone of my disappearance. I can never get away from them."
"Have you reported them to the cops? Officer Logan seemed to know something."
"They tried. Thrice actually." I gave him a bitter smile before turning away. "They noticed that every time the case ends with them losing, I get more injuries than the usual so they stopped." Partially, it was true. They were more worried about me so I took that as a chance to tell them to stop.
He was silent after that. I took a small peek at him and noticed that his eyebrows were furrowed as he glared down the bright night lights of L.A. His teeth were clenched and his hands were curled into a tight fist.
My heart fluttered at the thought of him getting mad at the fact that I could never escape from my parents' cage but at the same time, I felt bad for telling him. He looked like he really wanted me out of my facade and my parents' clutches but I feel that if I really did try, I would end up as a corpse with the story of a suicidal girl or some made up story just to clear my parents' name of any accusations.
I don't want to die yet. I just met the people who were showing me things I was missing through their videos. I just became friends with the people who were keeping me sane after drowning in depression.
And I just started feeling something I have never felt towards Colby...
