Chapter 17: Ego

Daniel stared into my eyes with the most dirtiest look ever. Like he wanted to hurt me. For I dunno what. I mean why does it matter if I make out with Zach and he gets to make out with Skyla.

"What the fuck is that for?!" He yelled at me. "What for," I said sassily. "You kissing Zach! I mean I thought you loved me or something," he looked hurt. "Listen. If you can make out with Skyla then why can't I make out with Zach?"

"Because I was trying to make you jealous!" "That is no reason Daniel! I never said I loved you. I said I liked you!" He opened his mouth to say something but nothing came out. He looked at the ground.

"Well. I know how you feel about me now." I grabbed his wrist and turned him around to face me. "You know what? I don't need your bullshit. I have enough of it any ways. My mom just died. And now your weighing me down even more. So get your self centered ego a new girl. Cause this one doesn't want it anymore," I pushed past Daniel, my shoulder hit his which made him turn around to watch me walk away.

I walked back in the house. I went to the kitchen where Zach was standing there, getting another drink. "You ok? You look kinda heated," he asked pouring himself and drink.

"Yeah I'm fine." I knew I wasn't and he knew too. He pushed it off knowing that's what I wanted. I gotta say, I was proud of myself for sticking up for me. I roasted Daniel so hard.

"Rilee?" Zach waved his hand in front of my eyes. I woke up from my thoughts. "Huh? I'm sorry," I laughed. "You sure you ok?"he laughed through the sentence, trying not to make it more awkward then it all ready was.

"Yeah totally," I said walking past Zach back to our friends. I saw that my friends were at the dance floor. But Jack. So I pushed it off cause he was probably just doing some other girl.

I started dancing and I felt a hand on my shoulder. I turned around to see Jack. "Where the fuck were you?" I asked. He looked around. "Well me and Mary just broke up."

I stopped dancing. "What do you mean? What y'all were dating?!" I asked. Jack pulled me into a room. He locked it.

"No I'm not gonna be one of your hook ups," I say trying to push by Jack. "God you know me. I wouldn't fuck my best friends," he gave me a stern look. "Good cause I'll never be one." I crossed my arms.

"Ok let me explain," he pulled me over to the bed and sat me down. "We dated for like.... 3, 4 months. We didn't want to tell anyone because we didn't want the attention of dating. Like the bullshit 'awwww y'all are gonna make that cutest fucking babies' or 'if you guys don't get married I swear'. That bullshit we didn't want it," he took a breath. He said it all in one breath.

"You know I don't say that shit," I have him a stern look. He nodded. " I know you wouldn't. But you know July and Lizzie. They want the best for me, and I appreciate it. But they try to hard," I gave him a confused looked.

I knew Jack liked them both, but July actually has feelings for Jack. And I don't know if Lizzie. I nodded and went back down stairs. Jack walked back down a few minutes later.

He walked up to me and put an arm around me. Jack was a very popular guy in the school. He grabbed a girls drink, while his arms was still around me. He turned her around and she had a shocked look on her face.

He let go of her wrist and took a sip winking at her. He smiled and blushed. She walked past Jack, brushing her fingers against his arm. She walked into the kitchen. He started to walk there and he turned around.

"Found my new hook up," he smiled and I rolled my eyes. Last thing I remember was taking Jell-O shots and then being dragged upstairs.

I woke up in a strange room. Zach had his arms around me and he was asleep. I saw a bottle of aspirin on the bedside table and water. I took the pill and laid back down. I heard Zach waking up. I looked at him and smiled.

"Did we have sex last night?" I asked rubbing my eyes. "Maybe," he smiled and laughed.

I knew that was a yes.

Sorry for not being active on my ig and Wattpad. I live in Oklahoma so I have been out for the teacher protest.

I want to go back to school so I can practice for my band contest.

It's Saturday and we have school off tmr so like UGHHH
