the bell rings and everyone sits down in their seat. the teacher stands up and starts the lesson. a few minutes in the class someone hands me a note. i give them a weird look. i open it.

meet me and jack by the back doors.

i turn around and they have puppy dog eye and quivering their lips. i shake my head and right them back.

what is this, 3rd grade?

i hand the guy back the note. i started to do my work again.

i walked into 7th hour and look over at jonah, smiling. he just bites his lip and looks down. i sit down in my normal spot. daniel comes in and waves at me. he sits down next to me.

"are you the student?" daniel ask. i look up and nod. he sighs. "you know how much trouble you can get into?" i nod. "me and sky already had this conversation," i mumble, but loud enough for daniel to hear me.

the bell rings and jonah starts the lesson.

the end of the day bell rings and i start to pack my stuff. "rilee i need to see you," jonah says.

everyone leaves. "what's up?" i ask jonah. "i'm quitting." he says, i look up in shock and he had a sad expression on his face.

"what? what about us?"
"we can't work!" he yells.

"we can if we try. i'm turning 18 soon. just wait for me. please." i grab his hand and he rips it away from my grip. "you're still my student! we can get in a lot of trouble!" he yells. tear are now falling down my face. "when is your last day?"
"today." i start to sob and he pulls me in a hug.

"where are you going?" i manage to say, between sobs. "i can't say." he lets go of me. grabbing his things.

"that's why i packed everything. you need to grow up without me. please for me." i nod. he grabs my face, "promise me that you'll grow up and forget about me." i nod. he kisses my forehead and walks out the room.

i get to the door frame. i turn off the lights and close the door.

i get outside to where i was supposed to meet jack and zach. i see them on there phones. they see me and walk up to me. the closer they get to me, a worried expression grew on there face.

"what's wrong?" they ask me. "i'm he student." i mumble. "huh?"
"i'm the student!" i yell. they back away, zach puts his hands on his forehead.

"and that's the story." i finish off, telling them everything that happened this year. they didn't say much, just sat there and pondered.

"why though?" jack ask. i shrugged, "he wasn't like any other guy i met. he.. seemed to be there for me during my hardest times, helping me through my issues. he truly tired everything in his power to know that i was ok. and that made him special." the said now looking at zach with tears falling down his face.

he sips the tears away. "why are you crying?" i asked him, holding his face so he would look at me. "everything you said about jonah, i did too. i was there for you when you saw daniel and skyla. i was there for you until you cut me off so i could 'be around people i care about'. i care about you. i would ask everyone everyday if you were ok. i asked skyla if you needed someone, and she didn't say anything. you told me to go to hang out with other people when i only wanted to hang with you. i wanted you to be happy. but you cut me off and i couldn't do that anymore." he says, now tear streaming down my face.

all i could do was hug him. i didn't know what to say. i pulled jack into the hug.

this is the last chapter but i'll update you guys on what happens after this. sorry for not posting i. a while. i was busy. but i want to tha k you guys for the support you gave me through this whole book, even when i sucked at writing. still am but i'm working on it. there will be a new book out on july 1 this year. that's all for now, have a great day beauties 💖
