Chatper 22

"What do you want to talk about?" I stand up and say him down on my bed. "Your mother....." I sit back in shock.

"I can't tell you. Everything is in this box." He puts the box on my desk and leaves. I wait till he closes the door and I rush to the box. I open it.

There was stuff from when my mother was alive. There was some stuff she bought on family trips and stuff she I guess forgot to give to me.

I pull out this bracelet. It was so beautiful. A piece of paper was attached to it.

Dear my beautiful daughter.

       I have given this to you for very good reasons. I feel as if something bad will happen to me. But I just want you to have it. It was mine when I was your age and also your grandmothers. Before she died I promised her to give this to you. But I broke that promise. I'm scared you will get mad that I haven't worn it in forever. But I promise if something bad will happen to you or me one day. We'll be with each other soon.

A tear ran down my face. I wiped it and took it out of the box. I put it on and laid in bed, with my wrist close to my face.

The bracelet was cold which made me feel as if my mother was still here. "I'm sorry" I whispered into the bracelet.

My cat jumps on my bed and I start to pet her. She smells the bracelet and starts to purr afterwards. She was close to my mom.

She nudged my arm. I opened a little gap for her to lay in and she crawled up right by my other bracelet.

This forgot what happiness felt like. But this right here, this is it.

I walk in the front doors to only see Daniel, Jack, and Zach talking. Daniel face looked like he banged his head on a brick wall for hours. I walked past them and felt a hand around my wrist.

I turn around and see Zach holding it. He let's go.

"We need to talk."

"Wait. So your telling me you all like me?" They nod. "Well shit," I lay back in the seat I was sitting in.

"Well do you like any of us?" Daniel said with a promising smile. "Listen. You all are such nice guys but Jack, I thought you liked one of my best friends. And she likes you a lot. Zach, you care so much about me but..... I only see you as a good friend to comfort me when needed. And Daniel, you fucked up our relationship. I liked you. And now I feel.... hatred towards you. I mean don't get me wrong all of you are wonderful. But I just don't see a future with any of you.," I said. Daniel stands up and flips a book that was on the table when we got here.

He pointed a finger at me. "You know what. I don't even know why I try. Your just a whore any ways," he says a tried to walk off. "Daniel! Don't start with me! I only don't like you cause you were kissing on me and flirting at one point and then the next you were fucking Skyla! So don't even with me!" I say walking towards him with every word I said.

"I. Hate. You." I slap him and he falls back. I try to walk off but he tried to grab my wrist, only to grab onto my bracelet. I heard beads hitting the floor and turn around.

I see Daniel with the chain in his hand with a shocked look.

"What! The! Fuck! ASSHOLE!"

I start to run at him but I'm grabbed by Zach.

I see Jonah walk into the room and he pulled me back. Something hit my head and I was knocked out.

I woke up and felt a sharp pain in my head. I see a blurry body looking like he was fixing something. My vision comes back to normal and I see Jonah fixing my bracelet.

He holds it up to the light to see what he did and put it back down.

"What happened?" I sit up but Jonah pushes me back down.

"Lay down. This girl named Annie I think it is hit you with a bat and you passed out. Her and Daniel started kissing. Jack was pretty mad cause he knows you 'hate' Annie but he started to beat the shit out of Daniel. Daniel is in the hospital. I think in a coma? But the rest of him is just fine. Oh and that Skyla girl started to beat up Annie. You should call her. She told me to tell you that."

What the fuck. I'm passed out for about 30 minuets and the whole school is fighting.

I sit up and Jonah doesn't stop me. I look around to find my phone. I pick it up once I find it I dial Skyla's number.

I had it saved from when Daniel sent it to me on Snapchat, just in case I needed to tell her off.

"Hello?"

"Hey Sky."

"Um I'm sorry, who is this?"

"Rilee. Jon- I mean Mr. Marais told me to call you."

"Yeah um Rilee. I want to be friends with you. I hate Daniel and now I hate Annie. She was always a slut any ways."

I laugh.

"I mean your gonna have to talk to July. Pretty sure she hates you." I laughed and so does she.

"I wouldn't disagree. I hate my old ways."

She generally sounds upset.

"Hey I have to go," Skyla's says and we say our goodbyes.

I hang up the phone. "That sound promising," Jonah stated.

I laughed. "I hope so."
