"Psst" was faintly heard but I was far too tired to take notice of it. A few seconds later before I could drift back to sleep I heard another sound. Once again I decided to ignore it, not wanting to wake up just yet. "Lena." I heard this time in a slightly louder whisper, the voice sounding like it belonged to Kara but I wasn't completely sure. Nonetheless I still jerked my body and made a unconscious annoyed sound, knowing that Kara was trying to get me up for a run.

I heard a shift of laughter before she said my name again. "Lena, wake up." Her hand fell onto my upper arm as she shook me awake.

I shrugged her hand away as I slowly drifted more and more into consciousness. "No, go away." I mumbled sleepily, pulling my sleeping bag further up my arm.

Kara was silent for a few moments before I felt her hand return to my arm, more or less my shoulder. She shook me again for a longer time this time. "I will not. C'mon, get up Lena." Kara whines impatiently.

Hearing how important it was to her that I got up, I brought myself to open my eyes. Half expecting to see the sunlight shining in through the tent, and I was surprised to find that it was actually still dark out. I rolled over onto my back, looking up to Kara who was crouched down in the entrance of the tent. I gave her a sleepy glare, annoyed at why she woke me up so early.

"Kara, it's not even daybreak and you wanna go on a run? You're crazy." I state in a lazy tone. Kara staring back at me fully awake which is surprising, but somehow expected of her.

Kara chuckled as she rolled her eyes at my assumption. "We're not going on a run, I just want to show you something." She explained in a light hearted tone that sent butterflies through my entire body. I was suddenly excited to get up and see where Kara wanted to take me. It was confusing because just a second ago I wanted nothing more than to just go back to sleep.

"And it can't wait a few more hours, at least till daybreak?" I asked in a skeptical tone, masking my excitement as I sat up in the tent and began to rub my eyes.

Kara took a quick glance outside before her eyes were set back onto mine. "The sun'll be coming soon, by then the rest of the bunkers will be awake." She explained with a slight shoulder shrug in justification.

I shake my head at her reasonable explanation. "You kill me Danvers." I inform her as I unzip my sleeping bag and swing my legs out from it. I rest my elbows on my knees as I throw my head into my hands and once again I rub my face in order to wake me up further. "Give me a minute." I tell her as I look up at her, my head still halfway in the palms of my hand.

Kara smiles triumphantly from getting her way, before she happily exits the tent and zips it up from the outside. Knowing that she is on the other side of the tent, unable to see me I still smile amused and shake my head in disbelief of her personality as a gleeful child.

I then stand up and begin to get dressed. I slipped into a pair of navy green cloth shorts, a black t-shirt, and the pair of tennis shoes Kara loaned me. I then take a comb and brush through my hair, leaving it in its natural slightly wavy state. I then grab my black hoodie and pull it on over my arms, leaving it unzipped but pulling down the sleeves to cover my hands.

I then went over to the zipper and unzipped the tent flap, instantly revealing the back of Kara's legs as she waited for me to finish up. I climbed out of the tent and stumbled to my feet, not really working out the hacks of easily leaving a tent so low to the ground. Kara held back a laugh at my stumbling, never letting it become audible. Instead she began to lead the way, which of course led directly into the forest, a path that I was unfamiliar with. In fact, I found myself surprised at how well Kara knew these woods. I could never survive out in the woods without her.
