Pearl's Side

"Wait before you start", Steven said (even at sixteen he still had a child like personality), "How come Pearl didn't forget you", he asked Turquoise. "Well when a pearl for a diamond is made the pearl is tailored for the diamond soo much that their entities are entwined", she said, "Which is why they are so faithful to their diamonds", she looked directly at Pearl, "At least they are supposed to", making Pearl blush with embarrassment.
She recovered herself and started her story. "After I emerged I was immediately met by Turquoise who apparently wanted to be the first gem she saw", she said rolling her eyes. "Ofcourse I thought she was the best thing in the world since she was in diamond size", Pearl continued. "I've been meaning to ask about that", Amethyst asked, "How do you hold it for soo long and not get tired". "She gave a soft laugh, "Since I show unity I have to be flexible because there will be fights but overall the bond between us is still there". "Woah", Steven and Amethyst said together their eyes sparkling with wonder. "Ok  Pearl", Sapphire said, "You can continue". "After a while I noticed that the planets we colonized dies of quickly and she sensed it too". "I decided that it be better if we took a more war like as opposed to what she was doing", she continued, "I heard about the Crystal Gems and wanted to be a part of it". "I then started spying on her for them", she said as her voice got quieter, "I told them that destroying would put them in a corner since  she helped Yellow Diamond with the more technical aspect". "But Rose would hear nothing  of it she was simply too kind". "After we bubbled her we thought we'd have an advantage but we didn't know she could still communicate with White Diamond". "Pink Diamond was shattered and that set them and Turquoise and White developed the corruption song at least that is what I think I'm not sure of which diamonds in particular were involved". "Then the war ended with the corruption song and here we are". Even now Turquoise looked soo lost and heartbroken. I wish there was something I could do to help, Steven thought. Steven looked long and hard at the gem said to be heartless by Pearl Who is the real you.
