Turquoise looked around for Jasper and saw her sitting on the beach. She walked over to her, "Are you ok?". "I'm fine", she answered stifly. "No you're not", Turquoise said taking her hand. "Leave me alone", Jasper said shaking her off.
Turquoise fell silent and looked towards the sea. She tried not to talk but she's far too inquisitive. "What is your problem?", she asked. "Why do you care", Jasper answered turning away. "You haven't been yourself", Turquoise said, "You've been submissive and you haven't tried to escape that's so not like you".
"What do you know about me", she said turning to Turquoise, "How do you even know I exist". "Because you were the most sought after soldier in the war", Turquoise said hugging her knees, "White personally applauded you. But only to me ofcourse".
"You didn't answer my question", Turquoise said. "I don't know", she answered, "I feel different...somehow but I can't quite place it". She looked at the Diamond, "I feel like a different gem but I can't forget what I did. Its better to try and ignore it, I'm just not ready to face it". "But of you don't it'll tear you apart", she said, "It almost tore me apart".
"But you dont have anything to be sorry about", Jasper said. "Ha", she laughed bitterly, "I created corruption. Me. I destroyed so many gems lives and I could only restore one. And the Diamonds might attack any minute and we can't even protect ourselves". Her hands were clenched into fists, her knuckles bone white. "I'm a failure. A huge failure", she finished her eyes watering.
"No no you're not", Jasper said hastily, "You're not a failure". "That's what you think", Turquoise said furiously rubbing away the tears. "Look I don't know what went on between you and the Diamonds and the corruption", Jasper said gingerly taking her hand, she is not a fan of showing her emotions but what goes on in her head might just blow you away, "But I do know that you didn't know any of this was going to happen so don't beat yourself up about it". She smiled, "How about you practice what you preach". Jasper blushed, yes blushed, "I...you...ugh". Jasper looked at the see, "This planet really is beautiful I can see what Pink loved about this place". "Yeah", Turquoise said not looking at the ocean but at the quartz, "Its amazing". "You know I always admired you", Turquoise said breaking the silence. "So do I", Jasper said finally looking at the diamond.
"I'm sorry for making you listen to all that", Turquoise said. "Its ok at least I got something if my chest", Jasper replied. To her surprise Turquoise hugged her but she didn't pull back and hugged back.
A warm glow surrounded them as they embraced each other. And when it faded they were gone and was replaced by a tall gem with long messy hair like Jaspers. Not us rough and tough. But had a wicked looking hammer by her side. One side was a blade like Turquoise, the other was a hammer head that looked like Jasper's helmet. The gem would be known to others as Pectolite
"Did we fuse"
A/N
For those of you wondering why Pectolite is their fusion name. A pectolite represents forgiving oneself. Letting go of past mistakes and obsessions. It also symbolizes unlocking your true potential and being at your best. I think that us what a fusion between Turquoise and Jasper should represent. Ugh I'm to formal. Hope you like this. Y'all have a good day.
