Alex's pov
"Alex wake up," Selma told me.
  "No," I grumbled.
"Scott called a pack meeting and you need to attend to be kept in the loop."
I reluctantly get up and drive to Scott's. When I walk in Lydia, Liam, Mason, Theo, Corey, Chris, Scott, Malia, Nolan, Peter, and 4 other men are there.
  "Alex, you're here," Scott says.
"Mhm," I mumble, still not fully awake.
"Okay well this is Derek, Ethan, Jackson, and Stiles," he introduces.
I shake all of their hands but when I shake Stiles's hand I feel power. He isn't human. I jerk my hand away and stare at him with wide eyes.
"Uh are you okay?" He asks me.
"Stiles, your not human," I inform him.
"What? I'm the human of the pack, it's kinda my thing."
"Well, Stiles sorry to break it to you, but your not human."
"Well then what am I?" He asks, sitting back down.
I eye him curiously, my head tilted. "I don't know. Hm."
"What do you mean you don't know? Like you don't know don't know or you don't know," he rambles.
"I mean I don't know as in never met someone that felt like that. Don't worry though, I'll figure it out," I assure.
"Okay.... well back to the reason all of you are here," Scott redirects the conversation. "As you all know, Monroe got away. So we are going to track her and keep tabs on her. I think that the best time to take action to find her is after Liam, Mason, and Corey graduate."
"After they graduate, I can support you guys. I have money and if you wanna track her down, it'll help," I suggest.
"That actually would be good. Thanks Alex," Scott says.
"No problem." I wave it off. "It's one of the perks of having me as a friend."
"Theo, I heard what you did," Scott said turning to Theo, who was sitting alone.
Theo looks up. "Hm. What did I do?" He looks around the room. "Why is everyone staring at me?"
Scott chuckles. "Were you not listening?"
"No, there's no point in listening," Theo admits shrugging.
"I said that I heard what you did at the hospital and I also heard how Mason and my mom interacted with you. What did Mason mean when he said he was sorry for what the Dread Doctors did to you?" Scott asks.
Theo's breath hitches, heart beating wildly. "Why don't you ask Mason?" Theo attempts to direct the conversation away from himself.
Mason raises his hand like a surrender. "It's not my story to tell, Theo."
Theo turns to him. "And I'm not ready to tell it."
"Theo, you also said that you slept in your car. Is that true?" Scott wonders.
"Yea," Theo mumbles.
"Why are we so concerned about Theo? Scott he killed you, remember?" Malia says irritated.
Theo flinched at her words, she was right.
"Malia, Theo was a victim of the Dread Doctors," Mason defends.
Liam looks at Theo. "Can I tell them?" Theo nods, not trusting his own voice. "He has nightmares, about the Dread Doctors and hell. The doctors tortured him to the point of permanent scars."
Everyone looks surprised. Theo is not looking at anyone, playing with the hem of his shirt.
"Theo, is that true?" Scott asks. Theo just nods, still not looking up.
"Well why is his heart beating so fast? He's always in control," Malia argues.
"This is a topic that he can't talk about, Malia," I defend.
"He killed Scott!" Malia reminds everyone.
Hearing enough, Theo gets up to leave.
Scott stops him. "Where are you going?"
Theo looks up, claws out. He grabs Scott's arm. He growls. "Let me go. It's obvious I'm not wanting here." Theo pushes past Scott and runs into the woods.
Scott gets ready to run after him. "Let him go Scott, he needs time," I told him.
Scott nods. "Can someone please tell me what's going on with him?"
"He's damaged, Scott." I took a breath. "He was tortured by the Dread Doctors when his heart beat was to fast, that's how they taught him to lie. He hated it. He," I shift in my seat, "tried to kill himself, but obviously it didn't work." The rest of them look guilty, they sent him to hell after all. "Do you all know what electroshock therapy is?" They all nod. "That's what they used on him to create the Theo you new. The sociopath. Then he was sent to hell. I don't think you guys understand what that really means. It means you worst nightmare becomes a reality. And it repeats over and over again."
"You're talking like you have experience," Malia points out.
"I've been to hell if that's what you're asking. I just don't remember," I tell her.
"Wait you're being serious?" Mason asks.
I look at him. "Mason. I am 23 years away from being 48 billion years old. I was around before hell, so yes I've been there."
"Touché," Mason chuckles.
I notice Liam seems worried. He's playing with his fingers and not meeting anyone's eyes. "Hey Liam?" He looks up at me. "Why don't you look for Theo?"
He stands up. "Okay."
Once Liam is gone Scott turns to me. "Why'd you ask Liam and no one else?"
"Because they get along in their own way. And Theo is comfortable around him," I answer.

Theo's pov
I running. I just keep running.
I feel bad for leaving them there but, I just hate being the focus of everything. It's so frustrating!
I stop running when I feel like I've gotten far enough.
I punch and scratch at a tree, breaking my hands in the process. I fall to the floor, shaking with emotion. It's too much, it's all too much. Before I can stop it, tears are streaming down my face. I howl.

Liam's pov
I hear Theo howl while I'm trying to find him. He's in pain. I hope he's okay. I run towards him.

Alex's pov
Everyone looks up when they hear a howl.
Scott and I turn to each other. "Theo," we say in unison.
Mason looks at us worried. "Theo? What's wrong, is he okay?"
Scott looks at him with a solemn look on his face. "He's in pain."
"Then shouldn't we go find him?!" Mason insisted.
"Mason," I take a deep breath, "that wasn't a howl of physical pain. It was a howl of emotional pain."
"Can we still find him? I'm worried about him," Mason admits.
I nod understanding what he's feeling. "Only some of us can go. A main reason he ran is because he was overwhelmed by the amount of people being so focused on him. He doesn't like it," I commented. "I'll go. Mason obviously is going and I can't stop him. And Scott, seeing at he's the alpha."
The two of them nod.
"Will you guys come back when you find him?" Corey asks. When he sees us nod he continues. "Do you want us to leave?"
"You guys don't have to. Just don't bombard him with questions. Kinda ignore it. Ease him into having people that care about him. It'll take time, but a lot of you are actually willing to help," I answer.

Liam's pov
I hear a heartbeat after walking a little further after Theo's howl. I walk closer and I hear whimpering. He's crying I thought. I couple feet further and I see Theo sitting on the floor, his back against a tree. He has his knees curled up to his chest, his head in his hands. I get closer, though he doesn't seem to hear me.
"Theo?" I ask. He jumps, looking up. I chuckle. "I'm sorry I didn't mean to scare you." I sit in front of him. He starts to cry again. "Hey Theo, don't cry. Please? For me?" While I say that I put my hand on his cheek. He stops crying and puts his hand on top of mine. He leans into my touch.
"I'm sorry," he says, barely audible.
"What are you sorry for?" I ask.
"What I did to you and your pack. What I did to Scott. How I just ran out of the pack meeting." He looks at me, his eyes watery. "I'm sorry I'm so broken."
"You already said sorry, and I've already forgiven you. So has Mason, Corey, Scott, and Melissa. Soon the others will too. As for you being broken, yes you are." He closes his eyes taking my hand off his cheek and intertwining our hands. "In Japan, broken things are often repaired with gold. The flaw is seen as a unique piece of the objects history, which adds to its beauty."
He opens his eyes and smiles at me. Not a smirk. A smile. "I forgot you were a history nerd."
I chuckle. Then continue. "Theo, you may be broken but you can be fixed. And with gold." I smile.
He laughs, why he was crying seemingly forgotten. "Your so cheesy."

Alex's pov
We walk through the wood looking for Theo when we hear Liam.
"Theo, you may be broken but you can be fixed. And with gold." He emphasized gold to make Theo laugh.
And it does. We walk to see a view of Theo and Liam sitting on the grassy floor, Theo laughing. "Your so cheesy."
We let them sit in silence, watching the two interact, until Scott breaks it. "Theo? Are you okay?"
They turn to us, startled by our sudden presence. Theo nods and looks at Liam. "I am now."
"Let's go back okay?" Liam stands up, helping Theo up. We begin to walk back.

Once we get back, everyone said hi to Theo, then left him alone. Scott suggested we sat for a movie to ease the tension. We all sat to watch Black Panther. Theo got up in the middle of the movie and motioned for me to follow. I did and he stopped in the kitchen.
"I just wanted to say thank you," He said.
"For what?" I asked.
"For telling them what you did."
"I didn't tell them anything," I said trying to avoid eye contact.
He smiles. "You're a bad liar. You obviously told them I didn't wanna be the center of attention. Without you they would've asked a million questions by now. You also probably said that only a few people could look for me, because I'd be overwhelmed." He noticed me staring at him. "What?"
"I'm impressed." I mimicked the words he had told Liam just a few days before.
He laughed and shook his head. He points to the living room. "Let's continue with the movie."
