Alex's pov
It's been months since that pack meeting. Theo had moved in with Liam, once Liam's parents had found out he was homeless. Theo had to go back to school, although he argued that he didn't have to. Malia had to drag his ass out of his bed to go to school. Liam told me that it was hilarious. Scott has added an omega to the pack, Alec. He's adorable. We all already graduated and celebrated. Scott asked Selma to find Monroe, she's at his house now.
It's summer and I'm reading up of foxes. That's what Stiles is, they are very rare. It must have something to do with the nogitsune.Third person pov
Alex is reading on the couch when Phoebe walks into the room.
"Hey, Alex," Phoebe greets, grabbing an apple from the kitchen. "We should do something. It's summer after all."
"Mhm," Alex hums, not looking up from the book.
Phoebe rolls her eyes and takes a bite from her apple. She walks up to Alex snatching the book out of her hand. Alex whines in protest. "We should go somewhere."
Trying to get her book back Alex asks, "Go where? And can I have the book back? I was doing something important."
Phoebe drops the book on the coffee table. "You have been looking up what Stiles is since you met him. You already know he is some type of fox thing so," Phoebe grabs Alex's arms and pulls her up, the apple suddenly gone, "let's do something fun."
Alex smiles and chuckles. "Like what?"
"Like go to the Galápagos Islands. We've never been. Please." Phoebe gives Alex puppy eyes.
Alex laughs. "Okay we'll go." Phoebe let's go of Alex's arms and jumps up and down. Alex puts her hands on Phoebe's shoulders to stop her. "Calm down. Fly or swim?"
Phoebe looks up. "Wait we're going now?"
"Yep. So fly or swim?" Alex asks again.
"Well we have to fly to get to a beach, then we can dive into the water and swim."
"Okay then lets go."
The two call their friends to tell them that they'll be gone for a few days. They then get changed and meet on the roof.
"When was the last time we flew somewhere?" Phoebe asks.
"A little before we moved here, so we might be a little rusty," Alex admits.
The two sprout wings out of their backs at the same time. Alex's wings were black with white tips while Phoebe's were silver.
Phoebe stretched her wings. "Wow. My wings haven't been out in a long time."
"Yea. Are you ready?"
Phoebe nods and the two run off the roof, taking flight. The two go above the clouds, the altitude and cold not bothering them.
Phoebe dips through the clouds like a dolphin, spinning. "This is amazing!"
Alex giggles watching one of her best friends. "You sound just like you did when you first flew."
Phoebe stops spinning and flys besides Alex. "Yea, that's because we haven't flown in forever."
Alex turns to her friend smirking. "I'll race you." Then she's off, wings flapping.
Phoebe looks at her dumbfounded. "Hey! Your an asshole! I'm going to win this damn race!"
The two race before they see ocean, Phoebe winning. They stop above the coast. "Told you I'd win," Phoebe gloats. "You can't beat me at my own game.
"Remind me not to race basically an air/wind goddess again."
"No it's more fun that way." Phoebe smiles.
"But I know for a fact I can beat you in the water, so," Alex dives into the water, wings retracting, she comes back up, "let's race to Galápagos."
Phoebe laughs and shakes her head, but joins Alex anyway, racing to the Galápagos.
Once they arrive they find and underwater cave. Alex's breaches the surface. Alex rests her head on her hands on the cave floor.
Phoebe comes up from the water and laughs. "You're so fast in the water. It's not fair."
Alex swims away from the ground of the cave, towards Phoebe. She grins. "Like you're fast is the air, I'm fast in the water."
Phoebe splashes her and laughs. They both put they're arms on the edge on the pool.
"I'm glad Theo's fitting in well," Phoebe says.
"Yea. It's good for him. He needed it, still does. They're doing it the right way too. Not acting like he's fragile and broken, although he is. It makes him feel normal," Alex agrees, the conversation drifting away from Theo.
Phoebe turns to her. "I love you. You know that, right? You're my best friend."
Alex doesn't look at her. "You know I'm incapable of love." A look of sorrow crosses her face.
Phoebe looks concerned and confused. "No you aren't, Alex."
Alex turns to her. "I'm not supposed to love anyone. I'm not allowed to." She looks away. "It's a rule."
Phoebe puts a hand on Alex's arm, squeezing it. "I know you loved him." Alex turns to her with eyes filled with unshed tears. "Conner? Yea I could tell you loved him. His death hit you the hardest. You disappeared for months. Then your mother suspiciously died. Which ended up being you." Alex's tears begin to fall. "I know it still hurts but you have to talk to someone about it. While you're busy saving everyone, who's saving you?"
Alex takes Phoebe's hand off her arm. "It was my fault Conner died. I was the one who brought him into this. It was my mother who killed him. And all to get to me." Phoebe try's to speak but Alex stops her. "Don't even try to tell me it wasn't my fault. Don't try to save me because I'm not meant to be saved. I'm not supposed to. Now," she wipes her eyes and gets comfortable by the pools edge again, bringing her walls up, "can we please change the subject?"
Phoebe decided to drop the subject, not wanting to piss off one of the most powerful beings every created. "Well I think something might happen with Theo and Liam."
Alex chuckles softly. "Obviously. When they are in the same room, it's filled with sexual tension."
They continue to talk mindlessly about random things before they decide to go home, which they have to do in the dark.
When they arrive they see the entire McCall pack in the living room, as well as theirs.
Scott notices their arrival and speaks up. "We know where Monroe is." Alex gestures for him to continue. "She's in New Orleans."
"Well, New Orleans, here we come."
