Chapter 14

Alex pov
Liam called me to tell me to meet him outside the hospital. When I got there he was with Nolan. He just told me to follow him. We walk inside through a different door to be more discreet.
Once we walked into the main area, Nolan stopped Liam. We stays hidden behind a vending machine. Nolan gestures to a man. "See that guy? That why we didn't come through the front door."
"Who is he?" I ask.
"He's with Monroe," Nolan answers. "He was there last night. They handed him a gun like everyone else." He points to a nurse. "You see that, that nurse right there?" Liam nods. "She was standing right behind me. There's more than you think and there not just hunters. It's anyone and everyone who's willing to pick up a gun. Last night they were teaching them how to use them, how to load clips, what to do if the gun jams."
"Nurses?" Liam asks.
Nolan takes a breath. "Everyone."
Liam turns to him. "So this is what you wanted to show me? That people hate us? I could've figured this out on my own."
"It's not just that." Nolan exhales. "Come with me, okay? Now."
We walk quickly to the elevator. When the elevator doors open on the 4th floor, Liam begins to walk out but Nolan stops him. Nolan walks out first and we follow. He brings us to a room with 3 people in it. All comatose.
"They brought them in yesterday," Nolan explains.
"Who are they?" I ask.
"I-I don't know," Nolan stutters. "But they brought them in last night." He puts a hand on the middle bed. Liam looks around. His eyes land on an IV bag. "Do you know what that is?"
Liam nods. "Wolfsbane."
Liam calls Mason tell him about it. Corey and Mason are on their way.
Nolan takes a breath. "Okay. I-I'm going."
Liam stops him. "Whoa. What about your plan?" I snort.
"Nobody saw you come in with me."
Liam raises his eyebrows. "So?"
"So, I don't have to get my ass kicked."
"Well that was the only part of the plan that I liked," Liam admits. I laughed. He turns to me. "What?"
"It's like watching a TV show," I say smiling.
Nolan's heartbeat rises. Liam nods towards the door. "Go." Nolan smirks and leaves quickly.
"I like him," I say. Liam gives me a confused look. "He's willing to do the right thing." Liam doesn't look convinced. "Think about it. He's scared. That's why he was with Monroe. Now he isn't. He never thought that it was right, he was just following the crowd. Better late than never. Right?"

Few minutes later

The lights shut off. Only one light turns on and it's the one in the room we're in. The lights turn back on in the hospital but they are all flickering.
Liam checked his phone, no service. My dumbass didn't even bring my phone. I've been keeping watch. It's almost been a half an hour after the lights shut off. I hear movement in the room. The man on the last bed was pointing a gun at Liam. I moved in front of him and used my arm cuffs to block the bullets. Liam threw the man out of the room, knocking him out. We run out of the room.
I here guns. "Wait." Gabe. We turn and see men pointing there guns at us. "Let me do it. Go ahead guys, run. It'll be more fun that way."
We back toward the elevator. I'm ready to shield us. The elevator dings and I feel myself being pull in and to the side, out of the way from the bullets. They start shooting before the elevator door closes. I see Theo, Selma, and Joseph. I hug Selma and Joseph.
"What are you doing here?" Liam asks, more directed to Theo.
Theo pulls off his beanie. "I was just asking myself the same thing."
Liam turns to look at Selma and Joseph. He then turned back to Theo. "Did Scott call the three of you?"
"Yea. Scott called. He sent Andruw to help Lydia and Stiles, and he sent Phoebe and Kristen to the school to help them with the Anuk-Ite and Dmitry to help the sheriff," Joseph tells him.
"Are they still out there?" Theo asks after waiting a little. Liam nods.
"There's more of them," Joseph says.
Theo turns to Liam, the two only seemed to be focused on each other. "Look, I'm not dying for you." His heart skips a beat.
"I'm not dying for you either," Liam says. We can tell that the two are lying. "But I will... fight with you." He turns to the rest of us. "All of you."
"Okay." Theo looks at all of us. "Let's fight."
The elevator doors open. Liam, Theo, and Joseph's eyes are glowing, all of them barring claws and fangs. Selma's hands are glowing purple, as are her eyes. My hand is frozen, claws out, eyes glowing white. We charge out fighting the hunters, Theo and Liam fighting as one as Joseph, Selma, and I fight as one. There are guns flying, due to Selma using her telekinesis to disarm the hunters. Plants growing out of the ground, trapping hunters, due to Joseph. It's a big fight, and we're winning. All the men are knocked out but one behind use stands up, aiming for us. Melissa McCall knocks him out with a taser. Nolan runs out from behind her, knocking out a second hunter.
I turned to Liam and smirk. "Told you." He rolls his eyes.
Nolan looks behind us with wide eyes. "GET DOWN!" We turn to see Gabe aiming at us and he begins to shoot. He hits Selma and Joseph in the head before they could run. I'm not worried because they'll wake up. Theo and me get hit in while running.
Liam gets up and attacks Gabe. They are wrestling over the gun.
A man talks into a radio with a gun in hand. "I can't get a shot, what do you want me to do."
Monroe speaks from the radio. "Just shoot him. Shoot both of them."
The man puts the radio down and shoots Gabe eight times before Nolan hits him with a fire extinguisher, knocking him out. Gabe falls to the floor. He inches his body to a wall, sitting up against it. He has blood pouring out of his mouth. Theo stands ignoring the pain in his shoulder. Liam and Melissa also stand, I follow, although Selma and Joseph are still "dead".
Gabe coughs up blood. "It hurts," he pants. "It hurts." Theo begins to walk towards him. "It hurts. It hurts."
Theo stops in front of him and crouches down. He grabs Gabe's arm. Mason and Corey walk in. Theo firmly places his hand on Gabe's arm, black lines flowing from Gabe to him. He's taking away Gabe's pain. Relief crosses Gabe's face.
"Does it hurt anymore?" Theo asks him.
Gabe shakes his head. "No."
"Good." Gabe's heart stops. Theo puts his arm down carefully, not moving after. Everyone looks shocked that Theo did that, especially to someone who shot him.
Theo just stays there crouching looking at Gabe, lost in thought. Mason's voice pulls him out of his head. "You did it." Mason walks up to Theo and puts a hand on his shoulder surprising everyone but me and Theo in the room. "You let yourself feel."
Theo looks up at him. "You said that you'd never forget what I did."
"I said I'd never forget, not that I'd never forgive." Theo stands up, forgetting that other people were in the room and just focusing on Mason. "What the Dread Doctors did to you I'm sorry for. I'm sorry that I ever thought that nothing happened to you. I'm sorry that I didn't take into account that you literally went to hell and back-"
Theo cut him off. "You have nothing to be sorry for." He picks at his hand, not meeting Mason's eyes. "We both know I deserved hell. I freaking killed Scott." He looks up at Mason and takes a deep breath. "I'm sorry."
"I believe that one day, Theo. Everyone will forgive you," Mason assures.
  "Okay what the hell just happened?" Liam asks.
  I smack him upside the head. "You just had to ruin the moment. What happened was character development. Theo changed. Theo also needs to heal himself. He was also a victim of the Dread Doctors."
  Melissa walks up to Theo and slaps him. "That's for killing Scott." Then she hugs him. He's slow to respond. "And that's forgiving you for it." Melissa turns to me and looks at my friends "dead" on the floor. "They're dead and you don't care?"
  "Wait for it. 3...2...1," Joseph and Selma shot up gasping for breath. "There you go."
  Selma rubs her forehead. "You'd think I'd be used to dying but nope, it still hurts like a bitch. I'm just gonna lay down forever." Her and Joseph both lay down closing their eyes. I chuckle.
"This is Monroe. Someone report with a status, now. Someone respond. Someone talk to me! What's happening? Someone pick up the radio and tell me what's happening?"
  Liam picks up a radio. "You lost." He stands back up. "We should call the others. I think all of them are at the school."
  Liam called Scott and put him on speaker so everyone could hear.
L: Hey Scott. Is everyone good?
S: Yea.
L: Do you want us to meet you?
S: It's been a long night. I think we could all use some rest. I'll see you tomorrow. Make sure everyone gets home.
L: Okay. Bye.

  "I could drive everyone home," Mason offered.
  "That would be nice," I said.
  Liam and Corey agreed while Melissa politely declined.
  "Theo?" Mason asked.
  "No thank you." You could tell something was wrong.
  "What's wrong?" Mason asked.
  "Nothing," Theo insisted. Anyone could tell that was a lie. Mason just glare at him waiting for an answer. Theo sighs. "It's just I've kinda been sleeping in my... car." He lowers his head. Mason goes up to him and grabs his ear. "Ow!" Mason doesn't let go. 
  "Theo Raeken you are not sleeping in your car and I will drive you somewhere where you have a nice bed," Mason scolds.
  "Ow Mason!" Theo grabs Mason's arm and takes his hand off his ear. "Your not my mother jeez. Fine I'll go but where will I stay?"
  "You can stay at my place," Liam suggests.
  "Um, you sure?" Theo wonders.
  "Yeah so let's go home," Liam answers.
