Chapter 5: Who Is HawkMoth?

Adrien had piano music playing from his phone over his speakers as he sadly played foosball with Plagg sitting on the side of the table.

Downstairs, his dad and Natalie were in Gabriel's office. "What will you do without the book? And what about your son?" Gabriel handed an empty sketch book to Natalie.

"You know where this goes." Gabriel started pushing over vases off of tables and throwing framed pictures of his son off the wall as Natalie exited out of the room.

"Just think! Your father could've found out about me! It's a good thing kwamis can never be recorded or photographed," Plagg said to Adrien cheekily.

"Oh really? Then how do you explain the whole T.V. show that had you in it?" Adrien tilted his head, awaiting Plagg's answer.

"I don't know how that happened."

"I've got to find the book, so I can go back to school."

"What do you mean? Think about how great this is! No more alarm clocks! No more homework! You should be celebrating! I know what you need!"

Plagg went and brought out a piece of aged cheese protected by a glass cover. The smell seem to go through the glass. "I've named this piece, 'El Plaggo'. It's been maturing for 195 days."

Adrien held his nose and tried to block the smell. He wasn't surprised the glass had finally broke. The only thing was, the shattering sound was too faint to be right in front of him. "What was that?"

Adrien stopped the music and ran downstairs only to have Natalie stop him. "Your father is very busy." There was another smash heard through the door. "Shouldn't Adrien be practicing his piano right now?"

Adrien tracked back upstairs and shut his door. "Plagg, my dad is acting very suspicious over just a book. We have to go!"

"May I remind you your grounded?"

"Adrien is, but Cat Noir isn't." Adrien then gave Plagg a sly grin.

"Oh no. Kid, technically Cat Noir is grounded. Especially when everyone knows who you are."

"Well then, we'll be careful." Adrien then called out the few words Plagg never really liked to hear. "Plagg, Claws Out!"

Cat Noir jumped on the window sill just as a ring was heard from his baton. He opened it up and it instantly played Ladybug's voicemail she left him.

"Cat Noir! I think I have an idea who Hawk Moth is! You may not like it. Meet me at the roof of the school! Hurry!"

Cat Noir smiled. "Well, it appears the book and my dad will have to wait. M'lady is waiting for me at her tower." Cat Noir then started making his way to the school.

Ladybug started pacing on the roof. She groaned in frustration. "Come on! Being grounded never stopped you before! Where are you?" Cat Noir then hopped down behind her. Ladybug turned around to face him. "Cat Noir. Did you get my message?"

"I sure did, and I can't wait to hear more m'ladetective. So, who's our suspect?"

Ladybug looked down being awkwardly hesitant to tell her partner. "Well, uh, your dad."
