AFTER Watching Miraculous

Chapter 7: Gabriel and Hawkmoth

Ladybug and Cat Noir started pushing and carrying different things to barricade the door. As Cat Noir pushed the piano against the door, Ladybug looked around the room.

"There's got to be something in here to help me use this." Ladybug picked up the petal from her waist and looked at it thinking.

"Take your time, M'lady. I'm sure we have plenty of time in here."

There was then a crash coming from the other side of the barricade. The Collector was taking it down with his book one thing at a time.

"Or not." Cat Noir looked at Ladybug with a slightly worried glance.

"C'mon. Just hand over the miraculous and all of this will be over."

Ladybug looked around. She saw Cat Noir's belt, the CDs and movies on the shelves, the foosball table, and her lucky charm. Before she could tell Cat Noir what her plan was, the Collector was collecting the last things of the barricade. Cat Noir jumped up to the stairs just like a frightened cat as Ladybug ran behind the TV as her smallness was in her favor.

"Come on out little Ladybug. It's only a matter of time before you give me your miraculous."

Ladybug scooted to the other side of the TV to keep her distance from the Collector. "Cat Noir! I need ammunition!" The TV disappeared into the Collector's book and Ladybug dodged another attack from it with an eek.

"What?" Cat Noir turned and looked down at Ladybug.

"We're gonna complete his collection." Ladybug ran up a wall, grabbed a trophy from the shelf, and threw it at the CDs and movies to show Cat Noir what she meant.

"Oh! I see M'lady. Quite ingenious."

"Less talking and more doing, Cat!" Ladybug threw her yo-yo at the Collector and he collected it. Ladybug jumped up to the same floor as her partner and grabbed his belt. She then jumped down to the foosball table. Cat Noir then shouted out his power.

"CATACLYSM!"

He dragged his hand along all of the shelves and had the CDs fall out of their cases when he finished. Ladybug wrapped Cat Noir's belt around a few of the spinners and she popped the petal on the one connected on the end. She then pushed the table to be under the floor where Cat Noir was standing.

"Ready Cat Noir?"

"I'm always ready for you m'lady."

Ladybug blushed a little at the sentence, but she started to push on the petal to get the spinners turning. Cat Noir started to drop DVDs and CDs where the tiny players were spinning. They were then hit and thrown at the Collector. The Collector started collecting every CD and DVD that was about to hit him.

"Come on. Come on! Run out!"

Cat Noir dropped another load of CDs. "That's all of them!"

Ladybug unhooked the petal just before the Collector collected the foosball table. Ladybug was backed up onto a wall by the Collector. The book was right in front of her face, but she wasn't going in. Ladybug looked at the pages. The Collector then looked at them.

"What? It's already full!"

Before the Collector could swipe it back to existence, Ladybug kicked it out of his hands. It flew up in the air as Ladybug pushed the Collector away. Before he could get back up, Cat Noir hopped down and kept him down.

Ladybug ripped the book. "Miraculous Ladybug!" She threw the petal up in the air and it evaporated into little ladybugs that went around Paris and fixed everything as well as put everything back in its place. Cat Noir let go of the Collector. He got his baton back as well as Ladybug with her yo-yo.

"No more evil doing for you, little akuma." Ladybug opened her yo-yo. "Time to de-evilize. Got ya!" Ladybug captured the akuma with her yo-yo. She then opened it. "Bye bye little butterfly." A pure white butterfly flew out of the yo-yo. The Collector went back to Gabriel Agreste.

Ladybug went up to Cat Noir. "Pound-" Cat Noir went past Ladybug and to Gabriel. "Are you alright Father?"

Gabriel opened his eyes. "Ladybug? Son! What happened?"

"You were akumatized by Hawkmoth, but don't worry. We took care of it."

"He's right. You're safe now."

"Thank you. I'm just glad you're safe." Gabriel hugged Cat Noir. Cat Noir hugged back.

There was then a beep heard from both of their miraculous. Ladybug touched her earrings and Cat Noir looked at his ring. "I guess there's no hurry to leave now. Cat Noir...uh...Adrien. Can I talk to you for a second?"

Cat Noir nodded and Gabriel stood up to leave.

"What is it M'lady?"

Ladybug looked at Cat Noir.

"I think your dad could still be Hawkmoth."

"What? How? You saw it yourself! He was akumatized! He can't possibly be Hawkmoth!"

"Adrien, keep your voice down. If he is then he could be listening right now! You need to trust me."

"What proof do you have?"

"How about the fact that Hawkmoth didn't try to talk to him? Not even once! Or the fact that he has that book! What explanation do you have for that? Or the fact that Hawkmoth has a picture of your mother! He also has the peacock miraculous in that safe where you found the book! The thing is that what other proof besides being akumatized do you have that shows he can't be Hawkmoth!"

"He's my dad! Okay? He's all I have left."

There was a final beep heard from the miraculous. With Ladybug using her Lucky Charm before Cat Noir used his Cataclysm, she de-transformed first. There was Marinette. Almost with tears in her eyes. She looked at Cat Noir with pleading eyes.

"I don't like it anymore than you do. I know he's your father. I know he's all the family you have left. I wish there was more proof to him not being Hawkmoth. I hate to see you hurt. I hate that there could even be a possibility that it's him. But we have to make sure. Now I'm going to go back to Master Fu's to get the book back. You can stay here if you like or you can help me and figure out if he is or not. I'll see you later Adrien."

Marinette walked out the door and made her way to the exit of the house. Cat noir stood there. A beep was heard from his miraculous and he de-transformed well. There stood Adrien. In disbelief that his lady, his princess, yelled at him. First real fight ever. Deep down he knew that she was right. There is still the possibility his dad could be Hawkmoth. As much as he hated thinking about it, it was there.
