Chapter 10: Hawkmoth's Lair

Cat Noir looked through his dad's office window. No one was there. He opened it and motioned for the others to climb on through.

Ladybug landed on the floor as quietly as she could and looked around. They didn't know who was home and who wasn't so it was better to stay safe than be sorry.

Rena Rouge made it through and looked around. She grabbed her flute and was ready for just about anything.

Queen Bee gracefully dropped down and walked over to the portrait of Mrs. Agreste.

Carapace followed by Cat Noir entered with them and were on their guard.

"Carapace. Rena. Use your powers to make sure we don't get caught or hurt." Cat Noir made his way to his mother's portrait.

Rena Rouge looked down at her flute unsure if she could do it. Carapace touched her shoulder and smiled. Rena then knew that she was okay.

"Shelter!"

"Mirage!"

Carapace made a green force field with a turtle shell pattern over everyone that was there. Rena made a mirage of the part of the office they were in to look empty as if they weren't even there. The mirage went over the shelter like a barrier.

"We need to hurry now. I'd rather have our identity hidden from whoever Hawkmoth is." Rena Rogue turned to Ladybug, Cat Noir, and Queen Bee who were trying to figure out where the secret buttons were just by looking at Ladybug's video.

"Let's see. He used three fingers past the first half of the portrait like this." As soon as Ladybug said "this", she pressed down certain squares and went through the floor with a cry of shock.

"Ladybug!" Cat Noir looked down at her through the floor while it was still open. When it closed, the rest of them just stood there in shock. "I think she found it."

Cat Noir stepped over where Ladybug was originally and started searching for the squares. He was about to press them when there were voices on the other side of the door.

Everyone turned toward the door in shock. Cat Noir took the lead. "Everyone. Press these squares and stand right here. Go one at a time and meet Ladybug down there. If they come in before I get down there, I'll come up with an excuse. Now go."

Queen Bee did as Cat Noir instructed. As she went down, she grabbed her trompo off her hip and was ready for anything.

Rena Rouge followed with her flute drawn. As she went down, her second minute flashed off of her necklace.

Carapace was next, but the forcefield had to come down since he wasn't there to keep it up anymore. He did as instructed and went down with his shield on his arm. A patch of the shell on his bracelet vanished and only leaving three more left.

Cat Noir then moved over to the spot as the mirage faded. He saw the door start to turn and his reaction was to immediately press the squares. He went down and the floor closed as soon as the door opened and Natalie stepped through the door.

Inside was Hawkmoth's lair. Butterflies were resting on the floor, so all of them decided to be quiet. Thankfully no one else was there when Ladybug went down. Sadly, everyone knew what this meant. Gabriel Agreste, Adrien's father, was Hawkmoth.

Cat Noir looked around in astonishment. He then started to cry. "Why? Why would he do this?"

Ladybug walked up to him and placed her hand on his shoulder. A second later, Cat Noir turned around and hugged her as he continued to cry.

"You know what needs to be done don't you?" Ladybug was very cautious with her choice of words.

Cat Noir nodded. "Rena. Start taking pictures. A video even. Just make sure we have proof that this room exists. We'll use Ladybug's video to show that Hawkmoth is-" Cat Noir has to stop before he could finish to keep from crying.

Rena nodded and started to take pictures with her flute. "Be sure none of you are in this. I don't want Gabriel to come after anyone."

Rena Rouge was taking pictures of one half of the room, while Ladybug and Cat Noir were talking on the other half.

"I'm so sorry." Ladybug was trying to make Cat Noir feel better.

"Why? It's not your fault."

"But it is. If I hadn't insisted on your dad being Hawkmoth, then we wouldn't know. We wouldn't be here right now."

"Listen. It's not your fault. It's not your fault my dad is our archenemy and the terrorizer of Paris. You did what you thought was right. That's what a hero is suppose to do. None of this is your fault."

Another beep was heard from Rena Rouge and Carapace's miraculous. They each had two minutes left.

"Guys. We're about to detransform. I still need a pan of the area." Rena held up her flute ready to do so.

The others nodded and stood behind her as she recorded the entire room.

When she was done they immediately found their way out. Cat Noir detransformed into Adrien to make sure whoever was there earlier wasn't anymore.

Coast was clear. They all made it out through the window without getting caught just before Rena Rouge and Carapace detransformed. Ladybug had to carry Adrien out since he couldn't transform back.

She put him down and detransformed. Queen Bee did the same. Kwamis were hungry. Secrets were let out. Proof was taken.

The five of them made their way to Marinette's house in order to get some food and talk.

After they got food and stuck in an awkward conversation with Marinette's parents, they went up to Marinette's room to talk in private.

They discussed a plan to take Hawkmoth down with their new information.

Alya was going to post Ladybug's video, and her video along with pictures on the LadyBlog.

Nino was going to inform the authorities as soon as it was posted.

Chloe was going to inform her father as well.

Adrien was going to stay with Marinette, with their new permission of her parents, that way he would be safe. He didn't want to watch the scenario either.

They would all meet in the bakery after it was all done to regroup and go tell Master Fu.

They all were clearing up the details of the plan when Marinette asked Adrien, "You okay?"

"I am now. I know everything now except for one thing. Why? Why would he do this? And what would he want with our miraculous?"

"Actually." Chloe stood up. All of their eyes were on her. "We May know that too."
