Chapter 12: Something Unplanned

Chloe paced around in her room. Her neck aching from being bent over for her to look over at her phone screen. She was refreshing her screen that projected the LadyBlog.

Finally, there was a new post. Chloe snapped into action. Her arm went down to her side and she made her way to the elevator on her floor. She calmly pushed the button for the lobby.

As the elevator closed its door and made its way down each floor, Chloe's foot rapidly tapped and arm constantly moved her phone up and down for her to check her phone subconsciously. She was more nervous than she would let on.

The elevator door finally opened and allowed her to walk to the front desk. No one was there. She looked over the desk to make sure. She got aggravated and started to tap her fingernails on the counter to think.

The elevator dinged and opened. The mayor, Chloe's father, walked out of the elevator with two secretaries behind him.

"And make sure we get that taken care of. Am I forgetting anything else?"

"Daddy. Look what was just got posted on the LadyBlog."

Chloe turned her phone around and showed the video. The mayor wasn't entirely sure what to take from it. Chloe rolled her eyes at her father's confused face.

"Hawkmoth's lair is in the Agreste mansion. Gabriel Agreste was caught going into it. I think he's Hawkmoth."

Her father, André, instantly looked at his secretaries. "Well don't just stand there. Alert the lieutenant immediately to get a search warrant. We need to take Gabriel Agreste and the whole household into custody until this whole thing is resolved." Then he walked out the door of the hotel with the two secretaries both on the phone behind him.

Chloe looked at the door that her father left out of. She was a little terrified.

"Pollen."

Pollen came out of hiding from Chloe's yellow jacket. "What is troubling you, my queen?"

"We need to get to the Dupain-Cheng's and fast." Chloe put her phone down behind the front desk.

"Pollen, Buzz On!"

Rena Rouge landed on a roof somewhere in the Paris city. To her right, she saw Queen Bee using her trompo to swing as fast as she could to the bakery.

"Weird," she though aloud. "Why would Chloe be going to Marinette's place?" Rena Rouge then kept to follow her. "Queen Bee!" As weird as calling Chloe that name was, she had to to protect their identities from being found out like Ladybug and Cat Noir.

Queen Bee turned her head to look behind her. When she saw Rena Rouge, she stopped at the nearest roof she could. Rena Rouge ended up next to her.

"Why are you heading this way? Don't you think we should head to the Agreste mansion before the whole thing goes down?"

"My father is looking for everyone in the Agreste household! That means if they don't find Adrien there, then they'll start looking for him! I'm on my way to warn them!"

"The police have the same idea. They're getting a warrant in place to search the mansion. They'll start any minute." Carapace landed next to the girls. He was just as worried as they were now.

The three of them looked at each other and without another word they simultaneously ran as fast as they could to Marinette's balcony.
