The secret life of Tobias's daughter

Chapter 3

        *AUTHORS NOTE!!* I have been trying to write as much as I can and I would love to hear your guy's feedback about the story and tell me if anything is wrong with it please! You guys are my editors! ;) Alright I know you don't want to hear from me you want the story so HERE IT IS!!

        I look around and see dauntless compound but it has a look to it, like a destroyed look. As I look down I notice that I am tied to a rope and the bottom of the chasm. I look up to also see that I am tied to the walkway towards the pit. I would struggle but I know if I do get free, I would fall to my death. I then hear voices and look up and see my dad "Dad please help me!!" I try to yell but he walks past me like he didn't even know I was there. I had to get out of this. I found a knife in my back pocket and I started cutting at the rope that was keeping me hostage. After I heard a snap, I grabbed the rope above me and started pulling and pulling but then I heard a ripping noise from above me. I screamed hoping that someone would hear me, but no one came. Just before the rope let go of the steel path above me I grabbed the path and started pulling up, but then I felt a drip on my hand and knew I needed to get up. But as soon as I started pulling myself up I felt what I dreaded, a waterfall. The waterfall soaked my hands and my hand slipped and I screamed knowing that, when I would hit the floor of the chasm I would be dead, but as I let out a yelp, a hand grabbed mine and pulled me up. I looked up half expecting my dad, but when I looked up, I saw Alex. "Alex, why are you here?" I asked "I heard your cry for help and I saved you." I looked at him and thought "some divergent can travel into other people's dreams." He looked up at me and stared into my eyes. I looked into his to noticing that they are a beautiful dark blue with aqua around his iris. "Are you really in my dreams?" I asked. My curiosity started to show. He looked down at the chasm and said "Only if you want me to be..." And I instantly knew that he was divergent but I knew that he didn't want me to find out. I looked at him and said "If you really are here, of course I would want you here. But we might want to get out of here..." I said seeing two wait what? Erudite? members running at us with tazers in their hands. This is one crazy dream, but then I remembered that I am divergent. I thought of another knife and opened my hand to see it right there. "Perfect." I whispered while throwing both of them at the two Erudite and both of them landed in their chest's where their hearts would be. I walked over to them and ripped the knifes from their chests and put them in my pocket. I looked behind me to see a frightened Alex. "What have you never seen a knife before?" I say with a smirk on my face. "Well in real life, no." He says while walking towards me. "You know this dream will end soon right?" I say with a frown. "Yea, I know." He says while looking down at the floor while we walk."You know I never thought you would be in my dreams..." I say with a smirk. He laughs. "Yea I know I heard a scream in my dream and followed it to you...." I look at him when he says this. "Am I in your dream or in my dream?" I ask. I knew only certain divergents could go into anyone's dreams which I thought I could never do. "We might be in someone else's dream... wait, can't only special divergents do that? Wait that means that your divergent... right? Oh wait I just told you i'm divergent... Wait..." He said, changing the subject with every wait. I laughed. "Alex, calm down. First, yes, only special divergents can do what we are doing. Second, I do not want to answer this question, you will have to figure that out on your own. Third, I would've found out sooner or later..." I say while walking next to him. "Oh okay...." He says while looking at the ground. Just then, a dozen soilders came running at us with guns. "Think fast!" I scream and throw my knifes at the soilders. One hits one in the shoulder and the other hits one in the skull. I look over and see Alex looking confused and frightened. "What do I do?!" He yells. I curse under my breath and think about 3 guns. They appear in my hands and I toss one to Alex. "Shoot!" I scream as bullets fly past us. I slide onto the ground and shoot at the enimies. All of a sudden I hear shots behind me and see them hitting the soilders right in the heart. "Have you shot a gun before?" I ask. "Only once and I failed. I thought that I needed to be good and it worked." He said while shooting. "Your divergence can help you when you need it, can suck when you don't." I say matter of factly grabbing my knife and jabbing it into someones leg then heart. Then I notice that he didn't answer. I turn around and see my dad putting a gun to his head. I didn't know what to do. Alex didn't know that he was my father so I couldn't tell my dad off. "5, help me please!" Alex said. I looked into his eyes and saw fear. "Yea 5, help him..." My dad said. I look at my knife and my gun I had to figure out a way to face my fears. I clench my knife in my hands and breath in as I aim the knife at my dads hand. "You don't have the guts to do it 5." Tobias says. "Try me!" I scream as I breath out and throw the knife and as I wanted, it lands in my dad's hand. He lets out a screech and drops the gun from Alex's head. "Run!!!" I scream. Alex and I ran past my dad, who was cluching his hand. "Where do we go?!?!" Alex screams. I think about it for a second then realize it is a dream and that you can't die in dreams so the only place to go was down. "Stop!" I scream. We both skid to a stop and he looks at me. "What are we doing stopping?" He questions. I look down to the bottom of the chasm, and say "Jump..." He looks at me with a straight face and screams "WHAT!?!?!?" I look at him in the eyes and saw fear. "Are you afraid of heights?" I ask while looking down at the bottom of the chasm. "N-n-n-n-no... yea." He says, embaressed. I look at him, and say "No need to be afraid around me because I have the same fear so let's face our fears together..." I say waiting for a reply, but all I feel is a hand on mine. I jump a bit because no one has ever had feelings on me, ever. He takes my hand in mine and says "Let's do this..." and we jump off the steel path and I look over and notice that he has his eyes closed. I know the situation that he is in right now. He knows not to look up or down so you don't look anywhere except in your own eyelids. I close mine but have a bad feeling about how this going to end so I open my eyes a bit and look down. I scream and Alex instantly flickers his eyes open. "Keep your eyes on me." He says. I pry my eyelids open and look into his and see his beautiful eyes and feel like nothing around me is happening. He has his fore--arms on mine and next thing I know he says "Good-bye 5." And hugs me and then as we hit the water, I wake up in my bed with a pool of sweat around me where I used to lay.
