Chapter 14

Krissky's POV: As soon as I heard the words slip from her lips, I knew I had to see him. I pushed her to the side and ran into the stone room with little light. Tears forced there way to my eyes and slowly rolled down my cheeks as i saw the sight of my love laying on top of a medical bed with needles pricked into his beautiful skin. He looked so peaceful asleep but i knew it was all a lie. Looks can decieve. I felt a tugging on my arms and heard my name being screamed around me. I pulled away but their grasp was too tight on me. When they finally dragged me out of the room, they turned me around. I saw my dad's face. "5! Are you crazy?! What are you doing barging into random patients rooms?" He screams at me infront of everyone. Some glance over and some even stare, but I could care less at the moment. "Tobias you have no clue whats going on so just leave me alone!" I screamed and pulled away finally from his grasp. Once I was free, I ran down the halls until I didn't know where I was. 'Hmm, this looks different.' I thought to myself. I realised that I have never been here before. It was all dark and you couldn't here any type of society at all within the closed rock walls. I kept walking anyway since I was quite curious with this new place. "Curiosity killed the cat sis." A voice said behind me. I jumped. I didn't know he would be here. "Well, when you're Dauntless, you don't care what killed you, as long as you were fearless." I say as I turned around. Rylan stands on the wall thinking about what I said. "True but, at least Erudite are smart enough to know whether to go into a random place without any plan, and know if its safe or not. Oh! Wait no, thats just common sense." I chuckle and walk over to him. I cross my shoulders. "Well at least Dauntless actually get into the nitty gritty action instead of being stuck with nerds." "Hey! I didn't come here to start a faction war. I came here to talk to you about what I have found." He states. "Okay, well go on..." I say when he pauses. "Okay, well, the Erudite have placed a site in the Dauntless headquarters trying to get your simulations recorded." "Okay, what does that have to do with me almost dying because of your nerd family." "Well, they can scan pause, rewind, and see every single milisecond of time that are in your simulations. Also, they can look inside your head to see whats going on in that rock of a brain." "Ugh I hate Erudite. No offense." "None taken. I got to go sis. I'm sorry about what happened to Alex." "Oh, thanks, I guess. Wait! How did you know about Alex?" "I told you I'm always watching." With that, he walks off into the darkness.

I finally find myself back at my apartment but with a note taped to it. It reads 'Krissky, I need you to meet me at my room. ~Tobias' 'Yay' I thought. I didn't mean to blow up on him, but he just doesn't understand that I love Alex, and now Alex may never know that I love him.

Alex's POV: Something jolts me awake. I felt a million times better. It was truly a miracle. "Yes hi Alex, Please stay in bed please. We need to run a few more tests before we can send you anywhere." A nurse said. "But, I feel alot better now. I just needed some rest." I state trying to get up, but as I do, a pain shoots through my abdomen. "You've been shot recently Alex, you need to stay here so we can fix you." She said before strapping me onto the table. The only thing that was on my mind was the words that jolted me awake. Those words were "I love him" And i could've swore she said them.

Krissky's POV: When I finally reach my dad's apartment, I knocked. The door immediatley opened and there stood my dad. He invited me in and I sat on a nearby couch. "Krissky, I... I... I want you to tell me everything. What is going on with you and that boy?" Images flashed in my head. When I met him, when I told him everything, and even when I shoved him into my shower. All of those memories happened with him. "I don't know where to start dad." I say quietly. I didn't want to lie to my dad. "Well start when apparently you two started dating behind my back." He said aggravated. "We aren't dating. I wish but no." I said not meaning to say the last part. "Fine, tell me when you two met." I remember the day like the back of my hand. I had been so wrong about him. I thought they were gonna cause me trouble and act stupid and immature, but he was the complete opposite. "I met him when he jumped. His Abnigation clothes blurred right passed me. I had the wrong impression at first, but then he started to grow on me. We hung out every once in a while and just talked pretty much. Then, he pretty much told me he liked me but I knew you wouldn't approve so we never really started dating. Our friendship was really weird and awkward but we made it work. Then I came into the hospital, someone shot him, now he's in the hospital, and before his surgery, he told the nurses to tell me that he loves me. So, there is what you wanted. I will be leaving now." I say while standing up. "But, you just got here." My dad said. "I have stuff to do and I need sleep before I go mentally insane." I then walk out the door and to my apartment with tears running down my face. "I love you too Alex."
