Everytime I look in the mirror

Caroline was sitting with Matt after she had shown him how to drink from a person and not harm them. As well as how to compel them afterwards.

"You just have to think not to give into the rush...it's like eating chocolate...you want more and more..." 

"Not a good comparison"- he said -" the warmth the sweet metalic taste  I just wanted more when you pulled me away." 

"But you felt like the craving got smaller at one point?" 

"Yeah...although I could drink some more....what is wrong with me? It's me but I am like this crazy Matt..." 

"It's the bloodlust, and everything else... and you were already a vamp one day and then you overdosed with Burboun and you got vervained...so, it's really been a messed up beginning." 

He looked at her with a much calmer and friendlier way.  

"What?"- she smiled vivaciously. 

"I thought I would so hate you...but I can't..." 

"I know you have all the hyped up emotions, and trust me, I've been there,  but...let's just stay friends..." 

"No...I mean you are very beautiful, but brunettes have always been my thing... Is it weird to say that I am glad that I am not dead?!" 

"Matt...in a way you are...but more undead than dead!...so, brunettes, but didn't you just go off about Elena at the Salvatores?!" 

"I am over Elena...it's only been kind of a school thing...she will always be a friend...and I wasn't really in love with her...not really!" 

"Who then?...I know it was never me really.."- Caroline enjoyed the new found openess in Matt. 

"You will think I am absolutely gone mad..." 

"Shoot...I want to know..." 

"No...well...Eve from junior high..." 

"Eve?... she was such a bitch... I am glad she moved to California." 

" I know you girls hated her." 

"Elena would have killed you if you had broken up with her over Eve!" 

"Don't tell her!" 

Caroline laughed now- "why? Eve is long gone...and our dear Elena is probably with the Original....Wow, have we all come a long way since junior high..." 

"I can't get that she wants to be with one of them...I mean all they have done is made her life even more miserable than the Salvatores!" 

"As I said to Stefan- love makes you do the wacky!" 

"I'll remember that!" 

"You are so much better...but, I still don't trust you to be on your own!" 

"Caroline, the baby-sitter!"- he teased. 

"Shut up...I am serious... I think it's best you stay with me...anyway, let's crash on Elena!!" 

"Great idea!" Matt agreed and they happily went on their way to her house.

Elena had a shower in the mean time and playfully spent half an hour trying on different outfits exercising her vamp agility in getting dressed.  

"I need to do some shopping..."- was her comment when she finally decided  what to wear. She loved her casual look, but she now thought that it needed pepping up. Then she looked at her hair. She didn't want to cut it, but the straight long didn't appeal to her either.
