This story is set from 3x22 tvd. Nothing will be the same for Elena, as well as for all the old and new residents of Mystic Falls.

"So, Stefan?" Matt asked passing Elena a mug of tea. The woman thanked him and took a little sip. The events of the day still rippled inside of her.
"He saved me, and that sort of changed something. I so wished I had my mom here- we could talk and she would help me figure things out."
"Now, you have to figure it all by yourself. And Damon?" Matt continued to quiz his friend.
"Damon- I- it's like something that mysteriously draws me to him. And he asked me, who I would choose?!"

"He surely doesn't wait!"
"Nothing. It's neither. I don't want to choose and I cannot do it, because-I have to think about what is right now, and -" the doppelganger wavered and looked outside the window for a moment. She strangely felt pretty drowsy. She closed her eyes for a second. Her mind was heavy, and the thoughts were all jumbled up.
Her phone rang and before she answered she looked at the display, slipping intrigued,"Elijah? Hello- yes, I am at the house, with Matt- no- I promise-tomorrow! Thank you."
Finishing the very short conversation, Elena passed the mug to Matt as she put the phone in her jeans pocket and then got up.
"I feel sleepy" she said rubbing her forehead again.
"Here- lay down on the sofa. I'll get you a blanket." Matt said helping her accomodated on the sofa.
The brunette laid down and shut her eyes.
"It's working." Matt thought to himself as he went to look for a blanket.
Outside the house, Jeremy had just finished writing a message to Stefan. He walked into the house and found Matt covering Elena up.
"Hey- so it worked?!" the hunter said seeing his sister asleep and added."We can get her out now. Stefan is going over to the warehouse"
"You think they can stop Alaric?" Matt asked.
"They will try." Jeremy replied.
"And Klaus?" Matt inquired.
Jeremy looked at the quarterback, "We decided not to give him over to Elijah! Come on, we need to get Elena out of here."
"What do you mean, Jeremy?"
"Stefan will take Klaus with him."
"I don't get this. Aren't they suppose to die with Klaus?! They are from his line?! What is going on, Jer!?"
"Bonnie sent me a message saying that something went wrong! Come on, we have to hurry!" the Gilbert boy said taking the blanket off of her sister.
Matt sighed a lityle and helping Jeremy pick his sister up, they took the sleeping Elena to Matt's van.
"She will be really mad at us!" Matt stated as he shut the door of the passenger side.
"I know, but, she needs time off. We all need time off-away from them- Elena won't be safe as long as Alaric is still alive" Jeremy said, but also referred to the other two vampires, namely, Damon and Stefan.
Matt nodded in agreement.
Jumping into the van, Matt nodded a see you later to Elena's brother and starting the van drove off.

On the other side of town, Bonnie tried to redirect the spell from Elena to a different source. Alas, it wasn't working. But the witch, frustratingly continued to try.
"Grandma, please" she whispered before she started once again.

Meanwhile, in the Mikaelson mansion, Rebekah found Elijah going through some box.
"What are you doing? We need to find Nik!" she hissed at her brother.
"I had a Grimoire here-I hid it years ago, when we first came to the house." the Original replied.
"What will you do with it? We can't do magic. What is going on? You know that mother has a vampire hunter after us?!"
"You go, Rebekah! I need to finish something here." Elijah said to his sister.
"You know how easy this can be done, right? We need to kill Elena and the magic breaks!"
The deadly look that streamed from Elijah to his sister stopped the female vampire in her tracks.
"No! Elena is not to be harmed! Now, go! I will deal with this. My way!"
Rebekah nodded, letting him be, as she knew that if she continued he might stop her, the same way Klaus would do. She opted to leave, although the blood in her veins boiled with rage.
Elijah left the room and went up to the attic. The Grimoire was nowhere to be found.

Somewhere at the outskirts of Mystic Falls, Elena woke up and was surprised to have found herself in Matt's car,"What- what is this? Where are we going?"
"We're going out of Mystic Falls!"- Matt replied.
"You-you had something in that tea-? Matt, we have to go back! What are you doing?" Elena said agitated.
Matt gulped swaying his head, looking st the doppelganger somewhat regrettably for a second and then at then back on road."I promised Jer I will take you away from it all."
"Where is Jeremy? What have you two done?" Elena gulped all worried.
"It's not safe for you, Elena! Klaus nearly killed you today?!"
"But - he didn't and what about Bonnie and Caroline?"
"We all voted for you to leave!" Matt said in a serious fashion.
"Turn the van around, Matt!" the doppelganger demanded, raising her voice at her ex- boyfriend.
"Elena, please. I cannot do that!" Matt looked at her once again and then back at the road again, and now seeing a woman in white stand in front, like she appeared out of nowhere, he swerved suddenly and before he knew he lost control over the vehicle.
