DAWSON AND JAKE arrived at the evening hour of six o clock, the engine to Dawson's truck dying as he turned the key with a flick of his wrist. The duo sat inside the truck for a few moments, Dawson in a state of shock unlike ever before. Jake Abbey was dressed in clothes that weren't his but, instead, he was clothed in a police officer uniform. The memory replayed in his head so vividly-it was almost as if he were reliving the situation.

"It's been a long night. Curls has been here all day, we need someone to bring us back from this." Dawson said lowly, his eyes never leaving the front door of the cabin.

Jake nodded once, turning his face over to look at his biggest confidant.

"Thank you, Daw. Thank you for everything."

Dawson just nodded, sighing as he exited the truck causing Jake to follow suit. The pair walked into the home moments later-an unsuspecting chill immediately running through Jake's veins. He peered around the space, his body doing a 360 as he looked up the stairs. He felt it in his bones. It was too quiet. Something wasn't right.

"Thee?" He called once but to no answer.

"Maybe she's sleeping. You weren't here to keep her up, anyway. Didn't you say that she's been really tired lately? Don't bug her."

Jake shook his head, walking up the stairs as he continued to call for her.

"Athena? Baby? Daw and I are home."

As Jake walked down the hall, their bedroom door was left open slightly which revealed the gold light from the bathroom. It filled up the otherwise dark space of the room.

Jake called again.

"Thee? C'mon, stop fucking around." He stated a bit more lighthearted as a smirk danced at his lips. He neared the room, walking towards the golden light of the bathroom as his smile turned grim.

He had stepped back significantly to only throw himself into the bathroom with a guttural scream.

"ATHENA!"

Pretty little Athena Williams lay partially submerged in a pool of diluted suds and water that looked a bit too red for comfort. Her skin was a sickly pale color as Jake reached for her, pulling her naked frame above the water as he continued to scream for her.

Dawson had managed to make it up to the stairs, tripping over himself as he made it to the doorway.

"Fucking hell! Athena?!"

"Call someone! We need help-she-she needs help!-" Jake screams as Dawson takes his cell phone out and immediately makes a call.

"I need you now. Tell me your price later-I need you to get here NOW!" he exclaimed as he closed the phone and walked nearer to Jake's frenzied state.

"Jake, Jake-hey. Just, try to stay calm. I have the best of the best coming to help. I need you to stay with me. Jake, stay with me-" Dawson tried to say calmly, but his voice was shaking so badly he couldn't even tell it was his own.
