The sound of my alarm clock never failed to wake me. The loud, persistent, and annoying sound continued until I sat up to turn it off. Once my alarm was off, I looked at the time. It was five o'clock in the morning. I stood up and stretched my sore muscles before walking into my closet. I looked at the clothes I had not packed and started to figure out an outfit. I decided on a pair of ripped black jeans, a light grey short-sleeved top, and a dark green jacket. I walked into my bathroom and started to get myself ready. I put on my makeup and straightened my hair where it needed. When I was done, I walked out of the bathroom, turning off the light behind me before walking downstairs into the kitchen.

I looked at the clock on the wall. It read six-thirty. I grabbed a muffin and ate it before going back upstairs. I went into the bathroom and brushed my teeth before grabbing my phone off my nightstand and slipping it in my back pocket. I grabbed my laptop off my bed and made sure all of the lights in my room were off before putting my laptop in my backpack. I grabbed my medications, chargers, headphones, and keys, and threw them into my backpack before zipping it up. I grabbed my suitcase and lugged it to the stairs.

I rolled my suitcase down the stairs and to the front door before slipping on a pair of black and white vans. I went out onto the front porch and closed the front door behind me. I made sure the door was locked before walking out into the driveway. Marcus was already standing outside the SUV, waiting for me to hurry up. He saw me and shook his head. I started speed walking over to the car. He met me halfway and grabbed my suitcase. We started walking over to the car.

"Almost late again miss." He teased.

"Cut the crap Marcus." I laughed.

I narrowed my eyes at him while he put my suitcase in the trunk. I got into the front passenger seat and buckled my seatbelt as Marcus got into the car and did the same. Once we were both buckled, Marcus started the car and we started the drive to the airport. We both were silent. I stared out the window and watched the pavement move.

"Jack called me last night when I got home." Marcus said.

I snapped my gaze over to Marcus with a shocked expression.

"And?" I asked, raising my eyebrows.

"He set up a performance in Seoul." Marcus said.

"For when?" I asked nervously.

"Two weeks after you arrive." Marcus said.

"WHAT?" I shouted.

"I know. I'm sorry."

"How long has this been a thing?" I asked angrily.

"He said he's had it set up for six months now." He said.

I groaned in frustration. I didn't know what to think. I would have to spend a lot of time rehearsing instead of spending time with my family. Why would he grant me time off and then take part of that away from me? Why wouldn't he tell me about a performance? Is he insane?

Yes. He is insane.

"He also got a rehearsal venue for you so don't worry about that." Marcus said.

"So how long am I really staying in Korea?" I asked.

There was a short silence. It made me even more anxious.

"About a month and a half. I managed to push your returning flight back." Marcus said.

I was relieved. I would still have enough time to spend with the boys.

"Do you have the set list?" I asked.

"I do but we can worry about that when you get settled in Korea." Marcus said.
