' Traumatic Event | Part 2 '
| WARNINGS: GORE, DEPRESSION |
Authors Note: This will probably be my last Until Dawn / Dead By Daylight one-shot, but that's not the end of them all together. I'll probably make more Until Dawn one-shots and Dead By Daylight one-shots. Anyways, enjoy!
Sam knelled on the ground, trying to stop her tears. Why did she ever agree to this? She could have been selfish! Could have said to take Jess, or even Mike! They're the ones that started the whole prank. They killed Hannah and Beth! Not her. God, why her? But no. No, Samantha was not selfish. She was a selfless person, it wouldn't surprise anyone if they ever heard she did this for them. Not like everyone would ever hear from her again. She was dead. She was dead.
She was dead. Oh God, her dad! Oh, her dad. He was going to be so worried, so depressed. He lost his wife and now his daughter. She left him alone. She left him alone. Maybe she is selfish after all . . .
"Sam?" She stood up, quickly wiping away her tears, as Meg walked up to her. The ginger seemed out of breath, like she had run to keep up with her. Maybe she had. "Are you okay?" Was she okay? No. Not really.
"I'm-"
"Yeah, okay, stupid question No one is really okay here." She interrupted, walking up to her. Meg wrapped one arm around Sam, pulling her into a side hug, and Sam didn't protest. "Wanna talk about it?" Sam thought for a moment. How would Meg see her after what she would tell her? Would she be brave, or stupid? "You know, about how you know The Psycho?"
"That isn't his name." She mumbled, pulling the ginger down to sit on the hard, forest floor, with her. She pulled her knees into her chest and Meg followed.
"What is his name?"
She laughed, shaking her head, "His name is Josh." She spoke, closing her eyes. "He's 22, and he isn't a psychopath. He's sick and he needs help."
"He needed help." Meg pointed out, "He won't get it here. The Entity will push him further and further into insanity and . . ." She stopped, watching Sam as her eyes started to water again. And then, Meg knew, "And, you love him . . ." Sam let out a laugh, wiping away a few tears from her cheeks.
"That obvious?" She knew it was, she had always been very obvious with her feelings towards Josh. He was oblivious, she guessed, since he didn't seem to notice At. All. She had flirt with him on multiple occasions, before Hannah and Beths deaths, after, even yesterday. Huh. Funny. She saw him yesterday and he seemed so happy. He doesn't deserve this fate. None of them here do. "He was my best friend." She paused, awaiting an answer from Meg but she said nothing. They just sat there, in silence, as the crows crowded around them.
"I'm sorry, y'know, that this happened to you." Sam took a vow to silence. She shouldn't be sorry for her. They were in this together, Meg feeling sorry wasn't going to fix a thing. "Uhm, I guess before he match starts I should tell you about everyone." Sam looked over to her when she stood up, her hands, which balled up, found her hips. "You see, some of the survivors are wimps, or selfish. Don't tell them I said that though." She paused to laugh. "Dwight is a good person he's just nervous about everything, but he's our leader. The first to come to this Realm. He's kinda shy and won't try to save you if the killer decides to stick around, but he really does try. I, on the other hand, will go to save anyone no matter what!" Sam nodded, smiling.
