As soon as 5:00pm rolled around, I was pretty much done for the day. Hayden was fussy all afternoon, since he didn't get his proper nap which in turn made my day a bit more stressful. Remembering I still had to help the boss organise his planner for the next two weeks, I picked up the baby carriage with a finally sleeping Hayden tucked inside and the diaper bag. I knocked on Mr.Carson's door before entering. "Okay, let's get this planner filled out and over with." I mutter while taking a seat in one of the chairs in front of his desk and set the carriage and bag beside me.

Mr. Carson looks up at me before he pulls out the planner and flips it to the right dates. "Let's start with next Monday, I have a meeting from 10:00am to 12:00pm with Smith Inc.-" and that's how we worked for the next hour or so, until Hayden interrupted by crying. I let out a sigh and game Mr. Carson a pleading smile before I bent down and scooped Hayden in my lap. Being the two year old that he is, he looked at the different items on the desk in front of me and him with fascination. I didn't catch his movements quick enough because before I knew it Hayden reached forward and grabbed the basket of files on the edge of the desk and pulled it into the floor making a big jumbled mess. Staring down at the mess in utter disbelief. "I-I am so sorry, I'll organise them after we are done. I'm so sorry." I apologise again as I glance down at Hayden in my lap who is smiling at a fuming Mr. Carson.

"This is why I told you this isn't a place for brats like that. He doesn't know how to behave which just shows me how much of a lacking mother you are to him." My boss scolds as he gives me one of his coldest glares yet.

Who was he to tell me I was a bad mother? I glare right back at him as I say,"I don't know who you think you are, but you have no right to tell me if I'm a bad mother. I do the best that I can for him and I think I'm doing pretty well. Besides, he is one years old still learning how to walk. I apologised for his behaviour, but he is a baby."

"Hayden not baby!" Hayden yells with a frown on his face. I gently brush his light brown hair off his forehead. "Okay, sweetie, you're a big boy." I tell him smiling down at him with all the love in the world.

"Can we just get back to work? I want to go home already." I ask as I continue filling out his planner with the business meetings and charity events he has in the next two weeks.

Once we finished the planner with minimal talking, I set Hayden in the baby carriage with a bottle of formula while I worked to organise the files that he dropped earlier.

The whole time I was completing this task I felt a pair of eyes resting on me. I glanced over finding Mr. Carson staring at me, I quickly reach my hand up touching my face. "Is there something on my face?"

That seemed to interrupt him because he quickly shook his head and I resumed organising.

At around 10:30pm, Hayden finally had drifted off to sleep tucked in with a blanket and I finished organising the files. I stood up placing everything back on his desk before collecting Hayden's things into the diaper bag. "I better be on my way. See you tomorrow."

"Wait! I have a, uh, box of paperwork I need you to fill out at my house. I can drive you to my home to give you the box and then drop you off at your house." Mr. Carson offers. I sigh running fingers through my hair.

"Can't you just bring it tomorrow to work and I take it home then?"

"No. I'm not putting another item on my already full plate of stuff to remember for work. Let's go."

I roll my eyes in frustration already hearing the sounds of my bed calling me. I'll be there soon, bed. I put the diaper bag over my shoulder and pick up the car baby carriage in my other hand.

After Mr. Carson was finished grabbing everything he needed, I followed him out of the office and to his Range Rover, my dream car. It was so beautiful in it's sleek black colour. "Well, you can stick the kid in the back or something."

I open the back door and fix Hayden's car-seat in the car. Making sure he was buckled tightly in and safe, I kiss the top of his head before shutting the door and getting in the passenger seat.

"So, where's the father?" Dallas Carson asks after a few minutes of steady driving.

"Oh, um, he left after I told him I was pregnant." I quietly state as I look out the window. This topic was not something I wanted to continue conversing about. For the rest of the ride to his house, it was silent, awkwardly so.

Once we made it to his house, on second thought I don't even think it's considered a house more like a mansion, I got Hayden out with the bag and followed Dallas through the front door.

"Yeah, so the box is upstairs in my office. I'll go get it." Hayden decided it was the perfect time to wake up and become cranky. I pulled him from the car seat and held him against me, his head on my shoulder. "I know you're tired buddy, we are almost home." I whisper to him as I look around my boss' house.

Mr. Carson comes down the stairs at that moment carrying a box of papers. "Paisley, it's late, already 11:45pm, can you just spend the night I really don't feel like driving now."

I look back at him shocked by his offer and it's not like I can say no since he is my ride,"Yeah, I can stay. Where do you want me to sleep?"

"This way." He says and I follow him with the diaper bag and Hayden in my arms.

This guy was richer than I thought he was. The guest room was immaculate, I can't even begin to believe what the master bedroom looks like. "Is it possible to give Hayden a bath really quickly, Mr. Carson?"

"Yeah, take all the time you need, bathroom is through that door. And please, call me Dallas." Dallas agrees pointing to the door to my left.

"Thank you, and goodnight Dallas." I smile at him as he leaves the room. Now on to the most dreadful activity yet, Hayden's bath. Pushing through the bathroom door, I only take a second to look at the ridiculously expensive crafty work. I turn the water to a lukewarm temperature before stripping an away Hayden down.

"No, mommy!" He kept screaming as his eyes started welling up. I set him in the bath after grabbing a clean washcloth and towel from the closet. "It's okay, Buddy, it's just a bath." I coo as I grab the bottle of soap from the diaper bag. After washing the splashing one year old, who was too tired for his own good, I scoop him out of the water in a fluffy towel. Laughing as I set him on the counter to dress him in his pagan as and spike his brown hair into a Mohawk. I set him on the floor and state,"Hayden don't leave this room while I clean up." But do you think he listened? No. After cleaning the water he splashed up, I turned around finding him missing. My heart jumped into my throat as I rushed out of the bathroom to check the bedroom and he still wasn't there. Where was he? I rushed into the hallway to find only one door pushed open down the hall. Did Hayden push that door open? Racing down the hallway, I walk into the room to find Mr. Carson in bed asleep with Hayden crawling on the end of his bed. I stood there frozen as I watched Hayden crawl on to Dallas' bare chest, I just realised, and began poking his cheek. Oh my goodness, I am so fired.

Mr. Carson wakes up then and I watch as he looks down to find a baby on his chest with a shocked expression. "What are you doing here, buddy? Where's your mother?" I hear him ask frustrated as he sits up.

"I'm so sorry, Mr. Car- Dallas, I was cleaning the bathroom up when he left after telling him not to." I rush out as I walk over and pick him up from my boss' lap.

"Just..go back to your room and sleep. I talk to you in the morning." He finalises, so I walk out shutting the door behind me.

Once in my bed, I lay Hayden next to me and make a wall of pillows on the other side of him. I fall asleep to the sounds of soft snores beside me.
