Dallas' Point of View:

I usually find work to be stressful and painstaking, however with Paisley and Hayden in my office while I worked it didn't seem as bad knowing that when I finished I would be able to take them home. Looking over at the two sitting on the couch against the wall as I continued finishing the paperwork, I felt almost complete with my life which I will admit a bit frightening.

Once the paperwork was completed, I let out a sigh of relief and stood from my chair. Instantly I felt tiny arms encase my leg in a death grip. "Daddy! Toy store!" Hayden's voice filled the office as I bent down to pick up the small child. Ahh, someone wanted to visit the toy store again.

"I'm not so sure mommy wants us to go again, you already visited once today." I tried to reason seeing from the corner of my eye Paisley shake her head. Hayden's pout almost made me want to give into his every wish right then as tears started to fill his eyes. "But maybe we can go tomorrow or the next day or something." I quickly added on seeing the pout and tears instantly leave Hayden who wrapped his arms tightly around my neck in a hug. This was heaven. A smile lot my face up at the little boy who completely stole my heart from me. Goodness Dallas you are sounding like a girl! Get a grip man!

Paisley decided to cut in then as she picked the baby bag up and pushed the stroller over to us. "I'm not so certain on that either. However, I was looking through the cabinets this morning and we need to stop at the grocery store." She informs us and I groan. I hated the grocery store with a passion, it's always crowded.

I sigh knowing I had a hard time finding a snack this morning,"Fine, lets get going then." The three of us headed out to the parking garage and Paisley took Hayden from me to buckle him into the car. I got buckled into the drivers seat as paisley did in the passengers seat and we were off to the grocery store.

"Rudolph the red nose reindeer had a very shiny nose!" Hayden's singing, or screeching voice as most realistically put was singing along to the radio. It was already November and it seemed that each year Christmas music started earlier and earlier. Thanksgiving was next week and I hadn't even mentioned to Paisley about my parents coming over for thanksgiving, I made a mental note to tell her soon or when I did tell her she's be all over my ass about not telling her soon enough. Woman. I didn't see the big deal in knowing something a week earlier than the day prior, it's not like you started getting ready by then.

We pulled up to the grocery store and Paisley stepped out taking Hayden out of the car as well. I think someone had an eventful day because I noticed the tired look in his eyes as we made our way into the grocery store. Grabbing a cart I was about to take Hayden to put him inside the child's seat when Paisley pulled him away.

"Do you know how many germs are on that cart? I'm fine carrying him." She informs me and I grab a package of water bottles setting it on the bottom half of the cart. Paisley walks beside me as I push the cart every so often both of us adding items to the cart.

About an hour later we were finally in the self check-out line and once again something went wrong and the light over our checkout line went off. For fucks sake, it's like the fourth time! The irritation was clearly on my face as the same lady as the previously three times came over and entered a passcode.

"How about I finish scanning everything for you guys." The employee offers and Paisley quickly agrees. We stand off to the side as the lady finished my arm across paisleys waist as Hayden slept on her shoulder. "I must say your son is adorable just like you guys." The lady comments with a smile. I look down as Paisley mutters a 'thank you' seeing the blush splayed over her cheeks. The employee finishes and I follow the checkout instructions swiping my card.

A half hour later and the three of us were back home putting the groceries away as Hayden slept upstairs. "So Paisley, when should we put Hayden's room together?" I ask turning towards her. Paisley bit her bottom lip as she thought about the answer. God, is she trying to turn me on because it's working.

"I, uh, I don't know. Dallas, we have to sort something out first, though. For one, how long are Hayden and I staying because he is so attached to you and frankly I becoming attached too? I just don't want to break his heart when you finally find a girl you want to settle down with because he won't understand that." Paisley spills wit a look of distress on her face. I walk over to her with a look of confusion, she didn't pick up the hints that I was serious about her?

"Paisley, I know it's early and all, but I'm serious about you and Hayden. I want this, over the past couple weeks of you guys living with me, I realised this is the life I want. I like the sound of small feet running through my house screaming when I open the door and the way Hayden screams 'Daddy' when I walk in the room. I like the idea of you waking up every morning in my bed. I like you, Paisley. Just stay here with me because we are in it for the long haul, sweetheart." I confess to her pulling her tightly into my chest as I see the tears well up in her eyes. God I hope they're happy tears.
