Chapter 7:
It was warmer than I thought as we walked out of Dallas' estate and to his Range Rover. After I got a very ecstatic Hayden in his car seat, I got into the backseat next to him, assuming that Dallas and Tatum would take the front seats. "Here, Tatum, I can take the bag from you now. You don't have to sit up front with it." I offered as I reached forward for the diaper bag.
"It's okay, Paisley, I think I can handle a diaper bag." Tatum turned down with a light chuckle. I leant back into my seat and just watched a giddy Hayden.
"Song, Dallas!" Hayden screamed after a few moments causing the vehicle to jerk a bit out of Dallas' shock.
"Of course, buddy." He agreed and took my phone from me to plug it in and pick 'You Are My Sunshine' while we were stopped at a red light. Hayden giggled in happiness and sang along at a very high pitched tone. I couldn't help but smile at how happy Hayden was.
Once we were at the park, I think everyone was ready to get out of the car and be done with Hayden's singing. "That was great singing, Hayden." I complimented with a smile as I pulled him out of the car seat and quickly set him on the ground. "Hold Mommy's hand."
"No! I hold Dallas' hand!" Hayden protests and reached out for Dallas who again was standing abnormally close to me. Dallas smiled down at him and bent down a bit until he could reach the hand of Hayden. It was funny to watch as he had to lean over a bit to maintain the holding on Hayden's hand. Tatum came up to walk beside me as Dallas and Hayden walked in front of us. "Hi Tatum, I know you'd probably go somewhere else with Dallas besides a children's park with a one year old and myself, so I'm sorry" I apologised to him with a small smile and I felt him place his hand in the small of my back as he guided me to the swing set. I tried to make it nonchalant as I walked over to Hayden and Dallas. "Mommy swing me." Hayden said and I smiled at the little tike as I picked him up setting him in the baby swing. Pulling back on the seat I pulled it back a good distance before letting it go with a giggling Hayden. Every once in a while is glance over to Dallas and saw he was having what seemed a not so friendly conversation with Tatum. What crawled up his butt?

(Dallas' POV)
Was Paisley fuckin' blind? Did she not see the interest Tatum had to her?
I walked over to Tatum who stood leaning against the swing set with an amusing smile in his face at the sight of Paisley and Hayden. "You don't have a chance with her." I warned as I stood next to him and pushed the sleeves of my long sleeve shirt up my arms.
"Oh I don't? Because what I've heard is she's single, which means I have more than enough chance to get with Paisley." Tatum replied with a small smirk.
"Tatum, she isn't going to date anyone and she hasn't for the past year and a half or so, ever since Hayden's father left. Do you really think she'll just put herself on the market for you?" I asked and I didn't even know why I was so keen on making sure they never got together. I don't know, but this feeling kept seeping into the pit of my stomach every time it thought of Paisley and Tatum together.
"She might. Might as well try, Paisley is beautiful and sweet. God, you're so lucky to have her living with you. Hayden's cute as well." Tatum shrugged his shoulders before patting my arm and jogging over to Paisley with a charming smile. Watching from a far with a heated expression, Tatum asked Paisley to sit on the swing and he began pushing both Paisley and Hayden at once. Paisley and Hayden's laughs filled the air as they both continued swinging with Tatum's push. Can't standing the sight anymore, I walked over to the happy group. "Here, I'll push Paisley so you can push Hayden." I suggested to Tatum as the smile on his face dropped a bit as he moved over to push only Hayden. I began pushing Paisley who started laughing as soon as I pushed her forward.
"Don't push there, I'm ticklish!" She exclaimed with a giggle and I pushed harder on more of her upper back.
"Is that better?" I questioned with a grin on my face.
"Mommy and Da-Da." Hayden screamed beside us with a grin. I snapped my head over to him as Paisley did. She looked back at me with uncertainty clear on her face. I gave her a small smile as I shook hey head.
"That's right Hayden, Mommy and Daddy." I agreed with a small smile as Paisley gave me a grin, but I didn't know why.
Tatum glared at me with a challenging look on his face. Oh you are on, buddy.
We stayed at the park until the sun started to set and Hayden complained of hunger pains.
"Alright, sweetheart, we are going to the restaurant now. Just hold on a few minutes."Paisley complied as she held Hayden on her hip with his head resting on her shoulder.
"The restaurant is only a few minutes, we can just walk there." Tatum suggests as he slung the diaper bag over his shoulder. Paisley and I agreed and I hung back to walk beside Tatum as Paisley walked in front of up.
"Do you like her, Dallas?" Tatum questioned beside me quiet enough so Paisley didn't hear.
"Of course I don't, she's my employee." I quickly shot down.
"Really? That's a lie. I've never seen you hooked so much on one girl before and one that comes with a lot of baggage. Why do you want her so much? Especially after you figured out I want her. Is it a game to you, to try and see who comes out on top because I know how you are with girls. And if she is your assistant than she knows as well. Why would she give you a chance when she knows your history?" Tatum questioned as we walked into the warm restaurant.
"I-I don't know, okay? There's just something about her I can't get enough of." I complied and said the hostess,"Reservation under Dallas."
