Amid this destruction,
Turning, sharpening, blazing,
Releasing thousands of fractions—
I continue to stand up.
Amid this treachery,
Hurting innocents, concealing the truth, slapping to wake my senses,
Still plodding yet wounded—
I continue to stand up.
Amid these agonies— the heavy,
Knocking, gyrating, and burrowing through my part,
Collapsing down and tearing all that's left apart
But... guess what? I continue to stand up.
No matter how high they aim,
No matter how hard they claim,
No matter how far they have gone,
I continue to stand up.
