I remained dormant,
For a couple of years
Throughout the active grounds,
And some tormented creatures feared.
I remained dormant,
For a long time
Whilst burrowed through the heavy ground,
Moistness, I felt.
I remained dormant— still,
Whilst beyond me— fearful kill
I kept calm, clutching the soil;
It was where I must bide.
Dirt beyond me, swooped up,
As my hand abruptly scooped up
Clutching my filthy wrist— grievous,
Threw me through the wilderness.
I laid above the heavy ground,
Eyes slowly shutting down
As I heard the cacophony around the corner,
I remained dormant— forever.
