Chapter 9

*Faiths POV*

I walked out of the bathroom when third period bell rang. I ran to the auditorium doors and swung them open.

It was completely empty. The stage was lit up and props were everywhere. Our school play, Grease, is coming up in two weeks.

I ran down the empty isle and then ran down these little steps to the left that lead to an old storage room.

I propped it open with a shoe I found on the floor, so I wouldn't get locked in.

I flicked the light switch on and looked around. There were old costumes from plays from years ago. The room went on and on and had that old people smell.

I sat on a box and pulled out my iphone. I went through my camera roll looking at the pictures Felicity and I took randomly.

I came to a picture where Dad and I were on the fishing boat and we were fishing. I began to cry. The thought of how brutally different he could be. How he could change so easily but terribly. The man I called Dad, was no longer a man nor my father.

I locked my phone and started wandering around the room, finding weird props and costumes.

The bell rang for fourth period and scared the daylights out of me. I jumped and tripped over a box and fell into an open box of gowns.

As I sat in the box for a few moments, I looked to my right and found an old newspaper. I picked it up and wipped the dust off it, so I could read the old print.

Girl At Sugar Springs Falls Off Stage.

Permanent Damage To Knee.

Cameron Rodgers, 15, falls off the stage of Sugar Springs auditorium during the play 'The Phantom of The Opera'. She was transported to GMD Hospital of Indiana at 2:37 PM, on Saturday November 14, 1993.

Huh. Sounds weird.

I kept looking around and soon the lunch bell rang.

I grabbed my messenger bag and walked to the cafeteria.

Nobody was there yet but I sat down in my usual seat and waited for my friends.
