Chapter 38
*Faiths POV*
"Felicity where are we going?" I asked, flinging my bag over my shoulder. She stopped and put her bag down. She reached into her pocket and pulled out an envelope. I sat my bag down next to hers and watched her takes two pieces of paper out of the envelope.
"What's this?" I asked unfolding the paper and scanning it.
"One way ticket to Orlando." Felicity said. I looked up at her with my mouth hanging open a little.
"Do your parents know?" I asked.
"Faith, they don't know I'm gone. They don't know I bought those tickets."
"What are we gonna do in Orlando? By ourselves?"
"Faith, we're 18. We can handle it. I already bought a beach house with a private beach." I instantly wrapped my arms around her neck and hugged her tightly. She hugged me around my waist tightly as well. "Thank you, Felicity." I think I was about to cry.
"No problem, Faith. You're my sister I'll doing anything for you."
We pulled away from eachother and I sniffled. "How did you get all of this money??"
"The family plaza remember. I work for my grandmother and she pays me fifteen bucks an hour. I work five hours." Felicity shrugged. "I worked for her last week on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday after school."
"Oh my gosh.."
She nodded. "Shall we keep walking or hitch a ride?" I thought about it because hitch hiking was illegal and dangerous. But we're just small girls.
"Lets walk. I don't want to be stolen by some weirdos. Plus our flight leaves at ten in the morning. It's only 3:48." Felicity laughed and we continued to walk.
We made it to the airport by 6:58.We stopped only a couple of times to rest our legs and to eat a snack that Felicity packed.
We sat down in some chairs by the window and sighed. I looked out the window and watched a plane land and another take off.
"I think I lost five pounds just by walking for four hours." Felicity said laughing a bit.
I raised my hand and laughed. "Same here." She giggled again. I plugged my headphones into my cracked phone and went on Spotify. I went to my playlists and listened to the one labeled 'Favorites'. Flights by Jack and Jack came on, which suprised me weirdly. The second verse started playing up and I closed my eyes.
Said she's so sick of this town,
We can make the world our playground,
Spend the night in the sky girl,
Tell me how does that sound?
Tell me where you wanna go,
We can leave, make it feel like home,
If you're ready let me know
And we'll fly to parts unknown.
And it's flights to L.A.
Trips to Paris,
They could talk but
We couldn't care less girl,
Whoa,
Let you shop in New York
Drink in London,
It's all the same girl,
As long as you're coming,
Whoa, yeah
"Faith! Faith!" Someone shouted, being me out from my sleep that felt like a coma.
"Huh?" I asked rubbing my eyes.
"We're allowed to board our flight." I recognized the voice as Felicitys. Well duh who else would it be? Abraham Lincoln?
I put my phone away in my bag and got up with my bag and walked over to security. I placed my bag next to Felicitys and the security lady checked our bags. I took my necklace and ring off and anything that would set the metal detector off. I went through and I was all good. I put my thins back on and Felicity did the same. We went back around and grabbed our bags, then went up to the gate and showed the lady our tickets. She scanned them and we walked through the venue to the plane. We found our seats and Felicity let me have the window seat. Next to Felicity was a woman who looked like she was in her twenties.
"Our flight will be leaving momentarily. Please be seated and please be patient." The flight attandent announced through the phone to the speakers throughout the plane.
Felicity tapped my shoulder and I looked at her, snapping my attention away from the window. "We're runaways."
