Chapter 73
*Taylor's POV*
I haven't told Faith about the possible adoption thing. Ever since she was released from the hospital few days ago, she seems so much happier. I don't even know if that's how she should really feel. Getting into fights, being drugged, left in a hospital for such the longest time, and now finding out she's adopted? Some stranger has been abusing her.
My thoughts were all over the place and I just needed to think of something positive for once. Fans. Money. Cars. Vine. Friends. But all I could think about was Faith and my concern for her safety. How could such a sweet girl with big dreams and high hopes ever have such a rough life? Anyone but Faith. But it had to be Faith.
I thought about what Faith and I did last night. She literally rocked my world and made me feel like nothing could ever go wrong between us. It was just us, and no one could touch us because we were invincible together. It used to be just us against the world, now it's us against her father and the world.
We just landed in our next and final destination. We quiet after this one. With what's going on in our lives, we can't put anyone else at risk. But since it's our last Magcon convention, we decided to do the same surprise thing we had when we met Faith and Felicity. Three to four girls would get their hands stamped, and we would bring them up to meet us. It was going to be epic and it was going to be a happy and fun family time. We just hoped that none of us fell in love.
I snickered at the thought, Faith looking at me with a smile. "What?"
I shook my head and wrapped my arm around her shoulder, pulling her closer to me and then kissing her head. "I have a feeling today's going to be a good day."
She hummed a little. "Me too." I smiled as I looked out the window of the limo while everyone was yelling and laughing. For the longest time, I haven't seen Faith truly smile. A true bright smile of happiness. The way she snuggled into me told me she was more at peace, she was comfortable with me letting her help her, and she was happy with the world.
If one night of sex had impacted her so much, hell, I'm up for it every night. Not to sound like a pervert or anything, but I'd do anything to keep Faith happy and safe. I just hoped that this day wouldn't be ruined by any unwanted surprises.
~*~*~*~*~
The lights went out, and the audience screamed like hell. Two lucky fans were going to get to come up here to meet us. Faith and Felicity were down in the pit searching for the ones with the glowing neon stamp on the back of their hands as Mahogany blasted 'No Type' by Rae Stremmurd, but a remix. I had two bandanas in my hand ready to blindfold the girls.
This time, once they're blindfolded, they will randomly chose who they would be going out to dinner with. Once the girls came back with the two contestants, I handed Faith a bandanna to tie as I tied the other.
Spotlights flickered onto all of us up on stage. It appeared to me that one was a girl and the other was a guy. Which was fine by me. I'm just saying it would be awkward if they picked one the guys, but even more awkward if they picked a girl.
My girl.
I sighed as Mahogany announced what was happening, the fans going nuts. The two lucky fans standing next to me were grinning uncontrollably. The girl had her hands locked together in front of her a s the guy had his arms folded across his chest.
"Nash, pick a contestant and stand them in front of the stage," Mahogany commanded in a soft voice through her bedazzled microphone. A new remix song kicked up as Nash came over and grabbed the guy lightly by his shoulders, leading him to the center of the stage.
