Planetary Protectors

Chapter 18

Kane and everyone managed to find a ship on Lophos, so they could continue on their mission. "Man, I didn't realize these weapons would be so ancient, they don't make weapons like this these days." Hiko said.
"Well I could upgrade our weapons, make them be more futuristic, so to speak." Aria aksed.
"Yes, please do. These could use an upgrade." Kane answered.
So Aria took the weapons and went to a room in the back of the ship, where she began working on the upgrades.
"So where do we go now?" Alyssa asked.
"Hmm, there's got to be a way to track down a run away Kaizarr ship." Kane said.
"Wait, since you called them with the communicator, I should be able to track the location of where the call was made." Alyssa stated.
"Really? You're a genius Alyssa!" Kane happily told her.
"Thanks, now let's see where they were," Alyssa said, "Ok, it appears that they were just heading south away from Mercury, heading that way for a long time."
"Well if they were heading in only one direction, for a long time, that must mean that they were using light speed. That's the only explanation for that." Hiko explained.
"Well then that must explain how they ran out of power. Light speed quickly drains all the fuel and power in the ship. Seems this might be easier than I first thought." Kane exclaimed.
So the ship started heading towards the direction of Reina's ship. The space outside the ship was barren. Nothing except stars and asteroids were seen outside. Theg continued on their way until three planets were in sight. In the center was a small ship.
"That must be your sister's ship." Dromca guessed.
"Alright let's let them aboard." Hiko said.
Kane activated the beaming system, and beamed them aboard the ship.
After a few minutes, in a bright ray of light, Drek, Reina, April, and Xzyzar were all aboard the ship. Reina ran up to her brother and shouted, "Kane! Finally! It's been so long since I've seen you!"
"I know sis! I've been looking all over the universe for you! I'm so glad I've finally found you!" Kane excitedly cried out.
So everyone introduced themselves to each other, and they began thinking of their next objective.
"So, did any of you you find out anything about the Kaizarr while on Mercury?" Dromca asked.
"Well there's one thing I did overhear." Xzyzar proclaimed.
"What is it?" Everyone asked.
"I heard that the Kaizarr's home base is on the planet Zorox. There were a few soldiers saying how they wanted to go back to their home planet." Xzyzar answered.
"That is great information. Once our weapon upgrades are complete, we might be ready to start our attack on the  Kaizarr." Kane stated.
"Are you out of your mind?!" Reina and her friends yelled.
"Brother, how could you possibly hope to take out an entire empire, with just five people?!" Reina demanded.
"Look, we all received sacred, magical weapons from an old sage, and found out we are the chosen heroes, whom are tasked with saving the universe from the current intergalactic threat, the Kaizarr. We are the Planetary Protectors." Kane explained to her.
"Well if you have to do it, just make sure you survive, you're all the family I have left." Reina told him.
"I will." Kane replied.
"Hey Aria! Are the weapons finished yet?" Hiko asked.
"Just let me do the finishing touches and.... They are done!" Aria answered as she brought them out.
She handed back everyone their weapons, and they were all amazed out the work that was done to them.
All the weapons were made with a more high-tech metal, and they could all be folded into a more compact size. And Hiko's weapons were held together by a laser beam, rather than a chain, and Alyssa's bow could shoot lasers instead of regular arrows.
"Wow! These new upgrades are incredible!" Hiko stated.
"Thanks, it took lot of hard work to complete them." Aria said.
"Now we should be ready to take on the Kaizarr Empire!" Kane shouted.

MEANWHILE AT THE KAIZARR HOME PLANET, ZORZOX,

"Your majesty, the interdimensional rift is almost complete." A Kaizarr scientist said.
"Yes! Finally my plans can really begin! Soon I can enter the interdimensional rift, and gain the ultimate other worldly power, so I can utterly decimate this universe!" Emperor Vorkalth maniacally shouted.
"But sir, what do you hope to find beyond the rift?" The scientist asked.
"You fool! Do you really not know of the one Kaizarr tale, passed through generations? In another dimension lies the ultimate source of power, the weapon known as the Destroyer of Worlds. It can destroy whole Galaxies. That is what I desire." Vorkalth answered.
"I-I see sir." The scientist said.
Another scientist ran into the room, "Emperor, the rift is complete. The time has now come." He told him.
"Alright, give me time to prepare, and I'll be there shortly."
