In the town of Annandale, Tennessee in the year 29XX, on the 17th of June, it seemed like a regular Saturday for the Watsuki family. Kane Watsuki awakened from his nights slumber, and saw his mom, Mary, in the kitchen cooking up some breakfast for the family. His father, Renji was at the kitchen table reading the morning HoloNews on his hi-tech reading device. Kane sat down next to Renji with a mug of coffee and asked Mary, "So Mom, what's for breakfast?"
"We are having scrambled eggs, bacon, and pancakes, your favorite!" Replied Mary. Reina and Eren, Kane's younger sister and older brother, woke up and went over to the kitchen with the rest of the family. Reina sat down next to Kane, and told him, "Good morning big brother!" "Good morning to you to Reina!" Kane responded. Mary finished cooking up breakfast and served everyone their meal. Just as everyone was enjoying their breakfast, Renji's reading tablet started emitting a very loud alarm sound. He turned on the tablet only to find that it was an urgent news report. A news reporter's voice came from the tablet as well saying, "BREAKING NEWS! AN UNKNOWN ALIEN RACE HAS BEGUN AN INVASION IN OUR COUNTRY! THESE CREATURES OF WAR HAVE ALREADY DESTROYED THE WHITE HOUSE AND PRACTICALLY THE ENTIRETY OF WASHINGTON D.C. SO GET TO SHELTER AND TRY TO AVOID THE ATTA..." As the reporter was speaking the audio suddenly stopped. Everyone was completely speechless after what they just heard. The sound of a spacehip flying by and landing close echoed through the ears of the Watsuki family. Kane peeked out the window and saw an army of alien soldiers approaching the house. "I have a really bad feeling about this."
