Ara gulped, her hands sweaty in her hands and her fingers shaking as she typed out a response to Taehyung.

It was obvious to say she was very nervous.

She positioned her phone to where only her neck and below would be exposed, so Taehyung could see her playing the guitar.

Okay, maybe it was a little silly. After all, Taehyung already knew what Ara looked like. He would often visit the store, before she knew it was him, and she didn't really know why it was hard for her to show her face now.

Probably because she looked like a mess. After all, college work and job shifts weren't a good combo.

After this, Ara hoped she could get a good four hours of sleep and head off to class just to sleep in class.

Her phone went off, the screen flashing "Taehyung, FaceTime."

Heart beating, she hesitantly clicked answer, and the screen displayed 'connecting.'

It took a few seconds, but eventually it loaded. Ara didn't really know what to expect, but half f her thought he was just going to hide his face altogether.

Instead, bright and wide, eager eyes were on the screen, Taehyung's face above the nose moving.

She laughed at his non-caring close up, and immediately felt flustered when he laughed in response. She didn't exactly know what he was laughing at, or if he was just laughing because she was, but his laughter was soft and deep, and swept away her nerves. It sounded reassuring.

"Are you going to play?" he asked, his eyes blinking and staring at the guitar in view. "That's a really big guitar."

"That's because it's a bass, genius," Ara joked around, but nonetheless started to graze her hands over the strings.

Taehyung was about to say something, his eyes narrowing, but Ara already began to play one of her favorite pieces on the bass. It was from one of her old songs her band wrote together, and although it was nearly three years old, she could remember all the notes, and even the slight memories of it.

Playing it now made her wish she had her band mates with her.

When she finished, Taehyung whistled through the screen, already raving about it. She moved onto some more pieces before deciding to swap her bass with an electric.

"I'm going to get my electric," Ara told him, flipping off the amp and gently unplugging the bass before carrying it off. She forgot how heavy it was, and apparently Taehyung noticed that too.

"You look like a penguin waddling like that," he teased, watching her struggle carefully carry it across the room to its rightful position on the wall.

"Whatever," she mumbled, knowing well he heard. Instead of listening to Taehyung continuing to tease her, she shuffled around in the corner of the room, trying to remember where she left her electric guitar's case.

When she found it, the latches wouldn't open. She bent over and pulled at the metal, but it wouldn't budge at all. Grunting in irritation, Ara tugged.

"Ara!" Taehyung shouted over the phone, snapping her out of her aggressive fit with the case. She turned to look at the phone.

"What?" She asked, exasperated.

"You're..." he stuttered, "...bending over...with shorts on..."

Silence overtook Ara, and for a spilt moment she couldn't get what he was trying to say. What did he mean?

Right when she finally got it, she felt herself heat up and blush overtake her face and neck. She fell into a sitting position on the floor and buried her face in her hands.

"Sorry," she managed to make out, almost crying out of embarrassment. She kept it in, remembering how last time she cried in front of her friends. Ara didn't want to be known for crying.

She was expecting there to be more awkward silence, but Taehyung just laughed instead, the familiar laugh easing her again.

"It's okay," he dismissed it, "besides, I should be the one apologizing."

Ara didn't want to ask why because she didn't want to know why.

Instead, she dragged the case to where the phone couldn't catch her, and finally popped it open.

And time passed, Taehyung commenting on her skills and even asking questions about the instruments.

They ended up discussing music for the hours Ara had planned to sleep during.
