"Taehyung, you know I can't accept this," Ara let the paper hang loosely from her hand. Taehyung eyed the paper and rolled his eyes, seeing nothing wrong with it. He went back to reading the art book he had in front of him.

"Taehyung."

He flipped the page, scanning the current artwork print on the paper, "You said you wouldn't accept money. Not a job offer."

"Same thing! How'd you even get this? Addressed to me too? You can't just weasel me in because of favor. It feels wrong."

Taehyung went silent again for a moment before sighing and shutting his book. He sat up and tapped the space beside him on the bed. Ara, still confused and a little irritated, sat down and looked at the paper again.

"I know you're already mad at me, so I'm going say 'don't be mad at me.' I kinda showed the production team your writing."

Ara blinked.

"You what?"

He seemed a little nervous now, "They were complaining about not having enough help for a while now. One of our staffs had been fired some time ago and it's been affecting alot. I dunno. I just suggested you and gave them a portfolio of your work."

"The one I showed you?"

"....Yes."

Ara, in shock, read in the paper again and lifted her eyes to Taehyung, "This is too much. I'm still a beginner."

He shrugged, "I'm sure your classmates would jump at this opportunity. You should accept it before they put the position online and it's gone."

Still not feeling the news sink in, Ara laid down and rolled to her side, tucking the paper under the pillow and staring at the wall with blinking eyes. Besides her, she felt Taehyung shuffle and his sudden warmth embraced her. His chest was against her back, broad and securing as his arms pulled her closer.

"Please think about it," he whispered. "We can work it out. Maybe an internship. I'm sure the company can work something out with your college. Let's just rest for now, okay?"

All Ara could do was hum in response. She grabbed his hand and let her thoughts wander.

--

"Alright."

The folder containing paperwork and borning office details laid on the table once more. A few other members on the team nodded after a while, some looking sure and the others looking tired.

"Really?" Taehyung sounded unbelieving. The woman in the head chair nodded and readjusted her glasses.

"Think of it as a trial. To test whether your skills and abilities are beneficial to our team. I'm sure that earning credit will also help your circumstances, Ara."

Ara blinked and held herself from saying something in fear of making the woman regret her decision. Underneath the table, she felt Taehyung squeeze her hand with reassurance.

"Well. If that is all, we shall expect you here Monday morning exactly at eight in the morning. We have a tight schedule to abide by and cannot waste any time."

--

Two weeks later, Ara found herself at the airport. She would have been wide-eyed if she had gotten any sleep last night. The typed papers of organized margins and company receipts kept floating into her vision everytime she closed her eyes. Ever since the first day, the supervisor had swapped her with office work as some type of prep, as she had stated when dumping a load of paperwork on her shared desk.

It was a nightmare.

But, it was worth it. She didn't ignore how the director seemed surprised every time she met the deadlines, and with perfection, too.

Only then did she fully realize how busy a job would make someone. Well, she knew this wasn't a real job, more of an internship and being paid by the workload, but at least she got what she wanted the most.

To see Taehyung.

They were both busy, their schedules needing their constant attention, yet he somehow found ways to visit and bring her teas or snacks. He would show up, give her a kiss, and dash off before being caught by the other team members.

And now, today was the day half the company would be shipped off overseas. It was hectic, getting the paperwork correct and making sure things were flawless and ready.

"Are you ready?" Taehyung sat down next to her and pulled her close.

"I haven't slept in the last forty-eight hours preparing for this trip," she mumbled and let her head fall back on his shoulder, "I'm pretty sure I'm ready. I think."

He laughed and Ara could feel the rumble in his chest, "You'll get used to it."

Ara could barely suffice a response, falling weak to sleep as it overtook her. Taehyung was too familiar, warm and safe for her anxiety to battle.

"I love you," she heard him whisper. He brushed her hair out of the way and pressed his lips against her forehead.
