Chapter 5

We decided to Subway for lunch. Nash ordered a foot long sandwich with a bunch of stuff that I really wasn't paying attention to. I just watched Nash order and said I was going to go sit at a table because there was a lot of people in Subway.

He came back with his order and sat down.

"Hey, aren't you going to get anything?"

"No."

"Why?"

"Because I would much rather share with you, if that's okay."

He smiled his perfect smile and handed me half his sandwich. He was so cute. I still can't believe I am on a date with Nash Grier. I mean why me? Out of all the girls in the world, he chose me. I wanted to ask him why but I didn't want to ruin the moment so I just kept my mouth shut, besides eating of course.

After lunch we decided to go for a walk on the beach. We were having a conversation while walking on the beach when Nash suddenly stopped. I looked back at him and he was looking out at the water as the sun was setting.

"It's beautiful isn't it."

"What?"

"The sunset. Isn't it beautiful?"

"Oh, yea. It's really, beautiful."

I was surprised at his words. I mean I didn't expect anything less from him but he is just really different from what I had expected. I thought he would've been stuck up and conceited but he wasn't, he was so much more than that.

"What are you looking at?"

I hadn't realized that I was staring at him

"Oh just you know...you."

Oh no I was stuttering again. I guess when I finally processed that Nash actually liked me, I got nervous again.

"Haha. And do you like what you see?"

He made a face at me that made me laugh and I playfully punched his arm

"Yes, yes I do."

"Well good, because I like what I see too."

I looked in to his eyes and got lost in them. Those big, blue eyes of his were pouring in to my soul.

"I'm really enjoying this date Nash"

"Me too."

There was a long silence as we walked around the rest of the beach, but it wasn't awkward it was comforting.

We finished our walk and Nash was driving me back home. When we got there he got out of the car and walked around to open my door.

"Oh my, what a gentleman." I joked

We walked up the stairs to my front porch and Nash stopped before I opened the door

"Hey um...Lisa do you think maybe we could go out again some time? I mean it's just a question, you don't have to if you don't wa-"

I cut him off when I kissed his cheek

"I would love to."

he was smiling like an idiot then handed me a piece of paper.

"Great, see you later."

Then he walked down the stairs and drove away.

When I went inside my mom practically swarmed me with questions about my date.

"Yea, yea, it was great mom. I'm going to my room."

"Wait but-"

I shut the door and sat on my bed. I opened the piece of paper and read it to myself

The butterflies in my stomach were causing me physical and mental pain but I didn't care. It was nice to know that Nash actually did like me.
