Chapter 8

I woke up in the morning and it took me a while to remember what had happened last night. I opened my eyes and Nash's head was on my stomach. Quietly, I moved Nash's head off me and got up to go shower before he got up.

When I came back to my room Nash wasn't there. He probably just left because he needed to go home or something. I changed into black shorts, an "all time low" t-shirt, and converse then went downstairs to make breakfast.

When I came downstairs I took my phone from where I left it last night and saw that I had a text from Nash.

Hey babe, sorry I left. My uncle said I had to come home but we can meet up again later today if you want.

I didn't mind Nash leaving. I mean he is his own person and we didn't have to be together all the time. Right? I don't even know I have never had a boyfriend before Nash and I really wanted us to work out. I texted Nash back and went to go make pancakes.

Oh that's okay, and yea we can meet up later.

Within minutes I got a response.

Great. I'll pick you up at 6;)

Kk cya later!

I got really bored since my mom went out again so I decided to call my friend Kat to see if she wanted to come over.

Hey Kat. Wanna come over today?

Sure! I'll be there in 5!

Kat only lived a few blocks away but we haven't really talked all that much in the past week, and plus I really wanted to tell her about Nash and I.

I was getting some chips from the pantry when I heard the doorbell ring. When I opened the door Kat was standing there smiling at me. She was wearing white shorts, a black t-shirt, and black converse with green laces on one shoe and pink laces on the other.

"Haha nice shoes." I said

"I know right, aren't they fantabulous?" She joked

I let her in and we sat on the couch talking while the TV was on.

"So how's life?" Kat asked

I hesitated a little but then answered her question

"Great." I blushed a little but tried to cover it up. Obviously it didnt work because Kat started playfully making fun of me.

"Ooh, Lisa has a boyfriend!"

"Shut up." I smiled

"So, who is he?"

"Oh, no one." I lied

"Oh come on, tell me. Please?"

"It's no one I told you."

"PLEASE!?!?" She got louder and was almost screaming but, you know that's Kat.

"Haha okay okay. It's Nash." She just stared at me for a couple seconds with a blank face.

"You're kidding right? You have to be kidding. Don't mess with me Lisa!" You could tell she was anxious to know the answer.

"No I'm serious, I really am going out with Nash."

"Grier?"

"Yes Grier is there any other?" Kat's face still had no expression but that soon changed when a big smile appeared on her face. I knew what was coming next.

"OH MY GOSH LISA! I am so happy for you! When did this happen? How? You are so lucky!" She started blabbing on and on about some stuff I really wasn't paying attention too, then she got up and hugged the life out of me.

"Lisa I am sooooo happy for you, really."

"Aww thanks Kat. You'll find your guy when the time is right too."

"You give the best advice." she pulled away from the hug and we just sat there talking. Well I was talking, Kat was just asking me questions about Nash.

It was around four and Kat's mom texted her saying she needed to come home so she left.

"Bye Lisa." She gave me a hug then spoke again.

"Just in case anything happens, you know you can always come to me."

"Yea I know." But nothing was gonna happen. We were perfectly fine. Right?
