Chapter 11

It was around twelve in the morning and I decided to text Kat to see if she wanted to come over.

Hey Kat. Lisa here. If you're free do you wanna come over?

Kat responded in about ten minutes

Yea sure I would love to come over! Is it okay if I bring a friend?

I was wondering what friend Kat was talking about but I just responded because I figured she would introduce me when she came over.

Oh yea, that's fine.

Kk thanks!

I was on my phone when the doorbell rang

*ding dong*

"I'm coming!" I yelled when I got up to get the door. When I opened the door, Kat was standing next to a tall brunette girl.

"Hey Lisa! This is Maxine. Maxine this is Lisa." She gestured to us as she spoke.

"Hi Maxine, it's nice to meet you." I held my hand out and she shook it.

"Hi it's nice to meet you too." Maxine said

"Come on in you guys." I held the door open wider for them to come in. After they walked in I closed the door and we all sat on the couch.

"So, Maxine, did you just move here or something?" I asked

"Yea. I just recently moved here from California."

"Oh cool."

"Yea, I used to live in California and we stayed in touch and then when she moved here we met up." Kat said.

"Wow. Well it's nice to meet you im sure we will turn out to be great friends." I smiled at her and she tried to smile but I could tell she was shy. I mean if she was friends with Kat, of all people, she shouldn't need to stay shy.

"Oh! Maxine! Guess who Lisa is dating!?" Kat said. She didn't even bother to let Maxine respond.

"Nash Grier!" Kat sounded so excited to tell her.

"Oh my gosh that's so cool!" Maxine said "But you should be careful with him." She sounded pretty serious and it made me angry and curious at the same time.

"Why do you say that?" I tried not to sound angry but I was clenching my teeth and it came out kind of mumbled.

"Oh, well, it's just, he's gone out with a lot of girls and they usually end up hurt because of his fans and everything like that." She sounded like she felt really bad about it. I mean he wouldn't do anything like that to me. I was sure of it.

"Oh, well thanks for telling me but I think I'll be fine." I said

"Okay but you should watch out, just in case." Maxine said

"I said I'll be fine!" I shouted at her but I really didn't mean too. I guess I was just angry that she didn't trust me.

"Sorry. I didn't mean to yell at you." I said and she half smiled at me making me feel a little better.

"That's okay." Maxine responded.

"Okay guys! Let's do something and not sit here like losers!"  I laughed. You can always count on Kat to make a situation less awkward for everyone.
