It was Tuesday afternoon. We had no school because it was the day that Mrs Jim's funeral was held but I doubt if we would have school anyway after what happened the day before. Luckily no one got serious hurt, there was just a lot of properties damage.

I first thought of going to Mrs Jim's funeral but I couldn't, I still felt really guilty. I didn't think I would have been able to face her family without breaking down. 'I could have stopped the accident from happening, I had a chance to do something and I did nothing' those were the thoughts that was running on my mind. So instead I decided that I would go that weekend to pay a visit on her tombstone. Sherry decided to not go also because I wasn't going and she didn't want to leave me home alone. Although I pretended that it was okay she should go, I was relieved when she refused. I didn't want to be alone, I needed company.

We were sitting in the living room, the tv was on and there was some random show on it. I don't know about it because my mind was on Mrs Jim, Sherry was also busy writing god knows what on her notebook.

"What are you writing?" I decided to ask her or maybe it was my attempt to get my mind off Mrs Jim. Sherry didn't say anything, she just held her index finger at me motioning one minute and continued scribbling down.

"Okay," she finally said after some few minutes. I looked at her.

"I have put down some important notes. What we know and what we don't so that we can find the missing puzzles, now listen and tell me if I am right or if I have missed anything," she said in a serious tone. That's when I noticed she was wearing her glasses and her hair was up in a high tight bun, something she does when she is all business.

"Did your birth parents tell you anything about other witches and hunters, do you remember anything?" she first asked.

"From what I remember I think they said something about they were all wiped out by vampires and werewolves that's why they had to run away from their hometown," I answered her. She wrote something down and looked up again.

"Okay....so first we have a fact that witch and hunters do exists and that there's a possibility that there are no others a part from you. We also have a possibility that vampires and werewolves also do exists," she stopped and looked at me for confirmation and I nodded.

"You have never really come across any vampire or werewolves, the only ones you saw were the ones that burnt your house and It was far so you could have been wrong," I nodded again.

"So the only reliable clue of vampire and werewolves existance is the stories your parents told you," she concluded.

"Do you remember the names of your parents? We might be able to find something from them," she asked.

"Yeah, I remember them. My name was a combination of my parents names Katherine and Lameck Yardley," I told her.

"Oh really!! That's sweet....I'll check in the internet to see if I can find anything," she said while writing the names down.

"Ok, moving on...Betty is being suspiciously weird since the day of your birthday and what happened yesterday doesn't help her case. She could have easily saved herself in that fire but she didn't or couldn't, why? That's our first question," she told me.

"I also find that very suspicious. Or maybe it's just us, she could have asthma or something which she didn't mention to me," I gave out my opinion although I wasn't really convinced myself with that. I have known her for ten years for God's sake! There's no way I wouldn't know that but then that was the only possible reason I could think of.

"I doubt that but that's not our major concern right now, we will get to that. So Luke, Kyle and Britney are also being suspicious and it also started on your birthday....Come to think of it everything started on the day of your birthday," she paused and looked at me. I nodded, realising that too.
