These Streets | Kino x Reader

You walk out of the club, wrapping your coat around you. You get about 2 blocks away when you hear "and I thought foreigners were meant to be tall..."

"And I thought men were meant be gentlemanly, I guess we were both lied to." You smirk. "Besides, did you really think that was going to work? No-ones used negging since 2011"

"Well maybe not, but you're talking to me." The shadow rebuttals, "admit it, you're a little interested".

"How can I be interested if I can't even see you? You could be a murderer for all I know." You throw back. " Now if you excuse me I'm going to pop into this convenience store, it's that time of the month..." Hoping that scared him off you enter the brightly lit convenience store.

You wait 10 mins then ask the elderly cashier "Excuse me, is there a back entrance I can use? That man out there is waiting for me and I really don't want to talk to him.". She smiles, "Of course, I'll get my son to accompany you, Jinwoo could you show this lady the back exit please?"

The son makes your skin crawl, there's something about him that seems off. He looks you up and down, sneering. Suddenly going out the front entrance doesn't seem so bad.

It's too late now, as Jinwoo leads you to the back of the store and down a dark alley. You hear the flick of a switchblade.

Just as you think things are going to turn ugly you hear a dull thud and Jinwoo collapses.

"You really should be more careful about who you trust." A deep voice scolds.

You'd laugh if you didn't think your heart was about to jump out of your chest. "Please just leave me alone, I just want to go home." You say, trying to stop your voice from shaking. If this guy can knock a guy out that quickly then you hate to think about the damage he could do to you.

Then he steps into the light.

"That's not going to happen, I'll walk you home, that's non-negotiable."

"Well what is negotiable?" You ask, stunned.

"I guess how quickly we walk there, but that depends on how much you want to say." He says, chuckling.

"Coming from the man I know 0 about, I don't even know your name." You laugh, somehow more at ease.

"It's Kang Hyunggu, but if that's too much just call me Kino."

"Nice to meet you Kino, please don't spook me like that again."

"No promises." He smirks
