Bam had to wrinkle his nose as his younger brother led them into the tiny Greek restaurant. It wasn’t an unpleasant odor, but much different that what they were used to. He had to chuckle a little to himself seeing how excited Bear was to be here. Ever since their last big city trip, Bear had been obsessing over shwarma and spanakopita, pretty much anything of Greek or mediterranean in origin.

The restaurant was decorated a little gimmicky, with maps of Greece on the walls and music of a man crooning in greek blared on the cheap speakers. A woman with fingernails too outrageous to be real sat them both at a table overlooking the coastal town. In the distance you could still see the ocean.

Bear eagerly thumbed through the menu, demanding hummus and talking outloud to himself about each possible choice. Bam was quieter, perusing the menu, occasionally letting his eyes pass over the room, taking everything in.

“Hey, girl…” The hostess pushed through the kitchen doors.

Molly looked up from organizing a new supply shipment, trying to keep her eyes from narrowing at her boss.

“You have a new table, two top on table 21.” The hostess snapped her fingers and disappeared out in the dining room again. Molly shook her head, blowing air from between her lips.

“I swear, she knows my name and just refuses to use it. I mean…it’s on my goddamn uniform!” Molly lashed out, her coworker and friend Lillian covered her mouth to keep from laughing too much.

“Moll, you know it’s just a power trip with her….either that or all the hairspray fumes are rotting her brain.” Lillian said, mimicking their boss’s beehive of a hairdo with her hands.

Molly had to laugh a little, she hated working for this woman. Her husband that actually owned the place as a sweet, darling man, but he must’ve married the hostess for her looks or her “skills” because her personality was a toxic dump. The good tips made the job worth it, otherwise they’d both be running for the hills.

Molly grinned, straightening her uniform and hair, “That is if you assume she had a brain to begin with.”

Lillian playfully shoved Molly toward the doors to the dining room, taking over at stocking.

“Let me know if they’re cute guys, I could help you with the table.” Lillian was always flirtatious with the more visually appealing customers, more or less to supplement her tips. But it was effective nonetheless.

“You can help all you want, but I get to keep all the tips!” Molly got the last word in, walking towards the table. It was odd this time of day to have patrons, it was past 2pm. Well after lunch and a while before even the early bird dinner rush. SHe was surprised as well when she noticed it was two young men. One with long curly hair draping down his shoulders, the other stroking his goatee as he seemed to be seriously contemplating his food choices.

The sun hit his hair coming in the window, it’s dark golden hue shining like it was the hair of a model. But his sleeveless red hoodie and camo outfit told her he probably wasn’t gracing the cover of vogue anytime soon. She cleared her throat. He was cute, hell more than cute. The closer she got, the more she could see his muscular arms and full lips. His blue eyes were almost striking. As she got to the table she tried to look at both of them equally, but she couldn’t help but keep looking at him.

“Hey guys, I’m Molly. What can I get you to drink?” She stood ready with her pencil, watching his lips. He said something, but her brain seemed to be in standby, unable to process it. She had to ask again, feeling her cheeks flush.
