For @darndimples Hope you like it😊 It had taken several months to save up for your honeymoon but you were finally here. You looked around the lobby of the amazing hotel in Juneau as your husband Gabe finished checking you in. You had both scoped the hotel out a few months earlier on a hauling job that had brought you through town and Gabe insisted that this was were you would stay. “Alright Mrs. Brown let’s go” Gabe says while shaking the key to your room. As you ride the elevator up you couldn’t help but stare at your gorgeous husband. You often wondered how you had gotten so lucky. You couldn’t help yourself as you step closer and kiss him sweetly on his cheek. “What was that for?” “Just because” you say smiling. “Well then this is just because” Gabe says as he pulls you close. He then kisses you with such passion it makes your world spin. You break apart as you hear the elevator doors open and try to catch your breath. “To be continued” Gabe laughs as he takes your hand and you walk toward your room. “Alright hop up” Gabe says when you reach your door. “What are you doing?” you ask as he holds out his arms. “Well what do you think I’m doing, I’m going to carry you over the threshold.” You roll your eyes at your sometimes too romantic husband “absolutely not.” “What do you mean no, it’s our honeymoon and I’m carrying you in one way or the other. So, are we going to do this the easy way or the hard way?” You didn’t want to argue with him but the ferry ride over had taken longer than you anticipated and it was already late. All you wanted to do was go in your room and relax. “Gabe let’s just go in” you say as you try to snatch the key from his hand. “Alright, the hard way” Gabe laughs. Before you realize what’s happening he had picked you up and put you over his shoulder. He opens the door and carries you in setting you down with a firm smack on your bottom. “You really are crazy” you say laughing. You look around your room and smile. It’s nothing too fancy but a far cry from your home in the bush. The bed looked too inviting to pass up so you decided to rest for a minute. You lay back sinking into the soft pillows and stretch out. “Mind if I join you?” Gabe asks. “Of course” you say patting the empty side of the bed. Gabe takes his shoes off and crawls up the bed towards you. “Oh man we have got to get one of these for back home” he says stretching out beside you. “Mm hmm” is all you can manage to get out between yawns. Gabe turns to his side to face you and pulls you into his chest. You breathe in his scent that you love more than anything. “Why don’t you rest for a minute baby. We have the whole weekend to enjoy this place” Gabe says placing a kiss on your forehead. You agree and snuggle yourself deeper into him. When you open your eyes your not sure how long you had been asleep but it was already dark outside. You sit up in the bed wondering where Gabe was. “Gabe baby where are you” you call out. “I’m in here” he calls out from the bathroom. “ I didn’t know you were up already” he says walking towards you. “Ok close your eyes I have a surprise for you.” You smile wondering what he was up to but do as you are told. “Gabe what are you doing?” He takes your hands and leads you back towards the bathroom. Your eyes were still closed but you immediately recognize the smell of your favorite candle. “Ok open.” You open your eyes and are in awe of what you see. The large bathtub was filled with bubbles and had rose peddles floating in it. Surrounding it were a dozen lit candles sparkling in the dimly lit room. “Oh my gosh Gabey this is amazing.” you say as tears fill your eyes. He pulls you into his arms resting his forehead on yours. “I love you more than anything and I want to make this weekend as special for you as I can.” Those words made you feel like the luckiest woman in the world. As he placed his soft lips on yours you placed your hand under his shirt and began to lift it up. “Alright Mr. Brown we’ve only got the weekend” you say smiling.
