You watch out of your cabin window at the giant snowflakes falling to the ground. It had been snowing all day and it didn’t look like it was going to stop anytime soon. The wind was blowing as hard as the snow was falling and it made you shiver just imagining the cold. But you were suddenly warmed by the strong protective arms of your boyfriend Gabe as he wrapped them around you. You leaned back into his chest and closed your eyes enjoying the moment. You had both been stuck inside all day but had managed to stay entertained. Gabe had a never ending supply of jokes and impressions that had kept you laughing all afternoon. Now, as he’s holding you telling you yet another joke you hear him yawn. You tell him he should go lay down for a few minutes and rest. When he wiggles his eyebrows and suggests you go with him you kindly remind him that if he would like dinner tonight he better go alone. He gives you his best frowny face and heads for the bedroom. You get dinner started and start to straighten up around your cabin. As your picking things up you notice an envelope laying next to the couch. You pick it up and notice it has your name written on it and a note.“Put this puzzle together and then tell me the answer, Love Gabe.” Curious, you open the envelope and see a bunch of pieces of cut up paper. You take the pieces and spread them out on the kitchen table. What is this man up to now you wonder. There were what seemed to be a hundred little pieces of paper and you didn’t know how he expected you to put them all back together. You debated on whether or not to even try assuming it was just another one of his silly riddles he liked to tell you. But you decided to give it a shot and began trying to figure out where to start. After a few minutes you had a pretty good pace going and were actually beginning to see words starting to form. You were so engrossed in the puzzle you didn’t notice Gabe peeking around the corner patiently watching. Finally you put the last piece in place and stood back to read the words. You weren’t sure you were reading them right the first time so the second time you read them out loud. “Will You Marry Me?” Just then you heard Gabe coming towards you and as he got down on one knee he asked you what the answer was. You said yes, of course it’s yes. As you knelt down on the floor face to face with him he kissed you more passionately than ever before. You didn’t care if it ever stopped snowing.
